The next round of the LintzOnline PGA tipping competition is now open. Click on over to http://www.lintzonline.com and enter your tips for the RBC Canadian Open where Carl Pettersson is the defending champion. If you’ve just signed up the rules are the same as the ISG tipping competition from last year in that you need to tip 4 players each week, one from OZ, USA, Rest Of The World and a Bonus player with their combined world golf rankings not exceeding 10 points. The rest of the rules are on the site. Good Luck!!

The Canadian Open is just like another major with a number of the worlds best golfers teeing it up this week. Leading at the half way mark are Chad Campbell and Michael Thompson who are both on 4 under. They lead by a couple of shots over some big names in Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, Rickie Fowler and aussie Geoff Ogilvy. One of the rounds of the day belonged to Tommy '2 gloves' Gainey who shot a 5 under 65 which moved him up 100 spots on the leaderboard and into T37 come the weekend. I've got an issue getting the squad standing after the 2nd round but I can say that 1 squad does have Chad Campbell so which ever squad it is will be hoping he can hang on for the final 36 holes. The final round started with a bunch of players within a few shots of the lead and while over night lead Bo Van Pelt could not get anything going Sean O'Hair, Andres Romero and first round leader Kris Blanks were all heading in the right direction. With the lead see-sawing over the last few holes it was no wonder another playoff was required to get a champion. Making the playoff were Sean O'Hair and Kris Blanks. Both players found the rough off the tee but in the end a missed 6 foot putt by Blanks handed O'Hair his 4th PGA Tour win. The best of the aussies was Geoff Ogilvy only 2 shots out of the playoff. The leading squad for the week was amccallum who picked up just over $400K in prize money and moved him up 4 spots on the overall leaderboard. The top 3 tippers on the leaderboard combined for a whopping $9,880 in prize money but with not much movement coming from below them their leads are still safe.
