The top five is now set... it will not change in composition nor in order. 1. Collingwood 2. Geelong 3. Hawthorn 4. West Coast 5. Carlton If St Kilda beats Sydney today, the Saints will probably be safe in 6th spot... That leaves 7th and 8th. If St Kilda beats Sydney today, that will leave the Swans in the eight by half a game from 9th placed North Melbourne, and preparing to meet the Cats at KP next weekend, and the Kangas preparing to face the Saints. A Swans victory over the Cats at the cattery in less likely than a Kangas win over the Saints at Docklands - so lets run with that... Geelong beats Sydney and North beats St Kilda - North in the eight by half a game. If St Kilda beats North the eight is closed and locked as Sydney play Brisbane at the SCG in round 24, and North play Richmond at Docklands - and Swans stay half a game inside the eight - preparing to Meet Carlton in an Elimination Final. Having said that - Melbourne could still finish in the eight. The Demons play the Tigers today, if they win that, they go onto play Gold Coast next week at the G, another probable win, they finish 2011 at AAMI Stadium against Port. Melbourne are currently on 30 points, three wins will have them on 42 points. If the Swans lost to the Saints today and lost to the Cats and Tigers, and the Roos lose one of their last two games, Melbourne would finish eighth - half a game above North (9th) who would be half again above Sydney (10th)

Did that have anything much to do with the eagles?

17 wins can someone tap me on the shoulder and say mate wake up youre dreaming, simple amazing season maybe its heart or passion but think we can beat pies this week, they have had a few injuires tarrant Maxwell Davis plus Dawes has only just come back and he doesnt loo fit..shaw wil be back in...No dale thomas... west coast has full list to pick from Natanui is jumping over ruckmen like they are standing on the ground and then running past them like they are standing still the midfeild is blue collar with some nice pace on the outside our forward line depth is the best in the league....if it clicks its very hard to stop...Lecras has kicked 40 goals from the midfeild!! Kennedy lynch Dalring Nic nat Cox ebert nicoski all dangerous in the fwd line..shuey kicks goals and gaff also, it packs serious heat up forward

The boys need to find that next level of intensity that really only comes from playing tough footy. Sadly this year has seen so many soft games that you are only seeing a few hard games. They were pretty good against the Pies and they will get better. The only thing that will beat them this weekend is experience, they should come out on top over the Blues but footy is a fickle game and you are only as good as your last game. We'll get better and better the more footy we play. Weagles by 26 over the Blues.

Ok, Weagles by 3. ;) Where will the fairytale end? We will lose more games than we win...nope, still going We will not make the finals...nope, still going We will not win a finals game...nope, still going We will not make it past Geelong...who knows? We have gone from wooden spooners to a top 4 team and while we are still in it, we are still in it. This week will be a huge test for us, will we win? - maybe, we are 1 of 4 teams left in the running. Regarless of the result this weekend 2011 is a stellar year for my beloved Weagles, we have gone forther than anyone expected and by the end of the season we would have given our very young team some great finals experience, if not a premiership :) Where will this fairytale end?

The last team to go from wooden spoon one year to grand final in the next was Collingwood. 1976 - wooden spoon with 6 wins, 1977 top with 18 wins, and drew the grand final against North Melbourne... lost replay by 27 points.

Was a good year. Geelong and Collingwood finished top 2 for a reason. Heaps of good signs for the Weagles and 2012 should be good for us. I am going to start a petition to have the 3rd quarter removed from our game.

Can't believe the year the Weagles had, just sensational. Today was a bridge too far. Hope it is a good game next week, good luck to both teams. Bring on 2012.
