I reckon the ISG GC days have cliques just the same as VPGC and every other organised event.....some people just like playing with some people and not others.  Just my HO

Best thing about our club is the saturday members bet 20c with everyone.

When you've played your round you go into the bar and go to every table and ask whay score everyone had. If they beat you you give then 20c and visa versa.

Best way for new members to meet everyone and get involved in the social aspect of being a club member.

If you're one of those people that just play and leave straight after then its pretty much your fault that you dont feel at home, imo.

Eastwood do the same thing.

I refused to do it when i was there.

Got some very strange looks

Just out of interest, were the winning scores any lower those days?

Not necessarily saying there's a cheating afoot with regular 4 balls, but as club golfers you'd be a lot more confident and comfortable I'm your normal group.

Same group definitely shouldn't be able to play last each week where they can share the NTP's!

I see this as a massive issue when people stoop to this. We have 5 par threes at work, and the only one we can't 'win' is the 18th as it is right next to clubhouse and peeps on the balcony always watch the last groups finish off.

This one we genuinely have to win if we play last, however, tee off early, play back nine first, and we can fudge the distance real close.

Trouble with this method is that I like to play in last group, so means every 5 weeks we have to tee off early to share the spoils around.
