The next round of the LintzOnline PGA tipping competition is now open. Click on over to http://www.lintzonline.com and enter your tips for the Players Championship where Tim Clark is the defending champion. If you’ve just signed up the rules are the same as the ISG tipping competition from last year in that you need to tip 4 players each week, one from OZ, USA, Rest Of The World and a Bonus player with their combined world golf rankings not exceeding 10 points. The rest of the rules are on the site. Good Luck!!

The Player Championship is one of the best events to watch each year and this year is no exception. Low scores, great shot making and a packed leaderboard.David Toms leads at the half way point by one shot over first round leader Nick Watney. Toms shot a second round 4 under 68 to jump 2 shots into first position. A further shot back are some big names including Graeme McDowell, Steve Stricker, Luke Donald and last weeks winner Lucas Glover. The biggest mover of the day was aussie Greg Chalmers who shot the low round of the day, a 7 under 65 to jump 71 position on the leaderboard and is currently T11 going into the weekend. The best of the aussies is Aaron Baddeley who is 3 back after a 2nd round 67. The leading squads after 2 rounds are pom and walks. Although both squds have Toms, walks also has Nick Watney so if the tournament ended now he'd have the top 2 positions locked in! It will be interesting to see what happens over the final 2 rounds. blueberrysmissus looks to be heading for her second consecutive week of a very low pay day with only 1 player making the cut and currently not with the top 15. To view your squads progress visit www.lintzonline.com. Good Luck!

We have another playoff....David Toms sank a 17 foot putt on the 18th for birdie to tie KJ Choi at 13 under. The first playoff hole is on the famous 17th hole.

Choi sinks the putt and wins the Players Championship. Toms can only shake his head in disappointment (like me yesterday at golf). Toms had a 1 shot lead heading up 16 but a wet ball with his second lead to a bogey and both players were tied at 12 under. Choi then made birdie from 10 feet on 17 to take a 1 shot lead up the last but Toms responded by hitting a 5 iron out of a divot to 17 feet before rolling in the putt. What a great week of golf once again. Overnight leader Graeme McDowell couldn't get anything going in the final round and signed for a 7 over 79, dropping 32 spots on the leaderboard. Another to move in the direction was Charley Hoffman who had it to 10 under standing on the 17th but 2 balls in the water lead to a quadripple bogey 7. He still finished his round with a 1 under 71. The best of the aussies were Jason Day and Aaron Baddeley who finished at 9 under, 4 outside the playoff. The round of the day went to Sergio Garcia who shot a 7 under 65 and finished T12. The final results are not available for me to download so I'm not sure of the leading squad for the week. Once the results are made available I'll post the leading squad. The results are in and Sea Eagle 07 is the leading squad this week with over $2M in prize money thanks to Choi, Jason Day and Ben Crane. The big pay day moves Sea Eagle 07 up 15 positions and into 2nd spot on the overall leaderboard. At the same time he has cut blueberrysmissus lead to under $1M. The other big moves up the leaderboard this week thanks to Choi were BigBillP and Janjuc.
