The next round of the LintzOnline PGA tipping competition is now open. Click on over to http://www.lintzonline.com and enter your tips for the Valero Texas Open where Adam Scott is the defending champion. If you’ve just signed up the rules are the same as the ISG tipping competition from last year in that you need to tip 4 players each week, one from OZ, USA, Rest Of The World and a Bonus player with their combined world golf rankings not exceeding 10 points. The rest of the rules are on the site. Good Luck!!

The first 2 rounds haven't seen any real low scores as 67 has been the best score carded. With such 'high' scores it's no wonder the leader board is jam packed with 7 players holding a part of the 36 hole lead inclucing Aussie Geoff Ogilvy. Ogilvy, who played with defending champion and fellow aussie Adam Scott for the first 2 rounds fired an even round 72 in the second round. 1st round leaders Stewart Cink and JJ Henry both fired 6 over 78's in round 2 to drop 28 spots down the leaderboard. The biggest story over the first 2 rounds is the 16 (yes, 16) that Kevin Na posted on the par 4 9th hole. He hit a couple of balls way right, found the second hit a tree and then himself attempting to chip out and finally tapped in for a 16. This is the biggest score on a hole since John Daly had an 18 at Bay Hill a number of years back. The leading squad after the first 2 rounds is pompoi1 who has 2 players tied for the lead! pompoi1 could be in for one big pay day! If anyone is going to catch blueberrysmissus, the current overall leader, we'll have to hope she stops picking players who win tournaments or finish high up. blueberrysmissus only has 1 player playing this week but currently that player is T1! After 3 rounds there is only 1 name a top the leaderboard, Brendan Steele. Steele shot a 3rd round 68 to lead by 1 shot over Cameron Tringale who also shot a 68 in the 3rd round. Over night co-leader Goeff Ogilvy slipped back 15 spots after posting a 2 over 74. Still on the aussie front, defending champion Adam Scott climbed 3 spots to be T5, 3 shots back going into the final round. If his putter is hot he could definately come away with the victory. First round leader J.J. Henry continues to slip back through the field. After 3 rounds he is now in T69 position after a 5 over 77 in the 3rd round! The leading squad going into the final round is still pompoi1 even though he doesn't have 2 players sharing the lead. blueberrysmissus is also still in a good position so we'll have to wait on the results tomorrow to see how much she increases her lead at the top of the leaderboard. Brendan Steele was more like the man of steele in round 4 as he kept his nerve and closed with a 1 under 71 for his first PGA tour victory. Although the margin was only 1 stroke his clutch putting all day was what gave Steele victory. Charley Hoffman and Kevin Chappell finished T2 after closing with rounds of 68 and 70. Adam Scott moved the wrong way on Sunday and finished back in 23rd position after a closing 4 over 76. Also tied in 23rd position were 3 other aussies, John Senden, Nathan Green and Geoff Ogilvy. The leading squad for the week was pompoi1 who picked up a cool $843,200 for his squads 2nd and 4th finishes. blueberrysmissus once again picked up a good lot of prize money and slowly increases her lead at the top of the leaderboard.
