the rumer is that carlton will be relegated to the under 9's  as the afl see it  that  carlton have nochance of beating anyside  over the age of 9 years of age  and they still think the under 9's will beat carlton.

3rd year into the rebuild of carlton has not gone well for the blues,  injuries  have hurt us i reckon every player bar a couple who have fallen to injury have had there hearts taken out ..

i can understand why we lose in the grey pjs it would be enough to bring any club down wearing grey pj's

sadly the board of carlton  and players and the members do not want the grey  the away strip  , but the grey pj is under a 2 year contract with nike  and nike wont come to the party  even though carlton are wanting to change the away colors....

so everyone next season will unfortunately see grey again if  the ceo cant get nike to change the contract..

I do see some glimour of hope as i dont look at the scoreboard  and just concentrate on a couple  of our young kids

Cripps  great player and is going to be a super star  next season captain

Zac Fisher  for such a young kid and only 19 years of age has showed some of his footy smarts has more improvement and hopefully next season he can show more form when returns back from injury...

Paddy Dow  alot of pressure in his 1st season and while he hasnt starred in every game there has been some good signs  what is to come and with another 1-2 years bulking up a bit more he is going to be one of the big movers in carlton.

harry mckay  some say he should have been playing most of the season, however the kid had attitude problems thinking he was way bigger then the game itself and angered alot of his team mates...however though this guy will do great with a bit more work behind  and will compliment Charlie Curnow.

Charlie Curnow,  Wow this boy can jump he should have had mark of the year , but i am certain we are going to see more  of this to come in 2019 and what is rest of this season..  still needs a bit more experience

my flops for this season

kerriage  can find the ball but very lazy and continually handing the ball over  i feel he has had his time to get things right time to move him on.

Murphy  now i love the guy and i know he has got some good footy in him but he is a very soft football player, in my view he is in his last 2 weeks of captaincy for the club,  i feel the players dont look to him as a strong leader,  still warrents a place in the side and i feel will be much better when relieved of the captaincy

Levi Casboult  now this guy is one person that could have been a great forward and could have helped Charlie and Harry   in the forward line..  great set of hands but shocking pair of feet..  i feel levi's problem is with the forward coach and the part time forward coach  that levi is in 2 minds on how to kick the ball as the information he is getting may well be playing in his mind...  unfortunately casboult wont be around in 2019 for the blues,   if only he could kick straight and through the ball he could have been better for the blues

i wont go to much with my flops as there is a few

rumours as many would say who wants to come to Carrrrrrlton

roughie from the hawks will only be 1 year contract it will help harry and charlie in the forward line

eddie betts  not likely but this rumour has the legs as  Eddies wife is saying she wants to be back in Melbourne and if Eddie is to return  his club of choice will be back at princes park.

Sheil and settlefield will come to the blues as a package deal  not sure what we plan to do but  the #1 pick maybe on the table for this one

welsh is very well on the cards

priority pick will be pick 19   Some say it could be pick 2 or 3  or even pick 12 but most likely pick 19

some of my delistments or moving on

graham

kerriage

phillips

oshea

casboult

a. silvani

coaches:

for the record bolton will continue, testing year for bolts  and was much like  rattens final year at blues  just happy blues didnt go out find another malthouse..

barker gone

and may be another 2 gone

rumour here and is a very strong rumour alot are saying ya can put a 100 bucks on it and ya would break the tab   and that is  S Mitchell  whate role i am not certain but is said to become a blues coach

most of this rumour and here say and is not all my thoughts

carlton need  guys 24-27 and ready made  and just a couple of good senior guys in the forward  area

but we are still going to be crap next season

Da Dada Dada, sorry Oz but Bolton isn't a coaches bootlace. How quickly Blues supporters have forgotten the mess that big John Elliot left them to clean up 20 years ago ! As far as I am concerned the Blue-baggers can stay down the bottom end of the ladder for several more decades or until the AFL create a second division ! Under 9's isn't happening Oz, Carlton might win a few games in a row :(

In heartening news most of the assistants are going. John Barker hopefully the first to go as he's been a dud since day 1 about 10 years ago.

Sam Mitchell was a certain replacement but other offers have sprung up since his return to Melbourne became public knowledge.

Bolton is loved by the players but loathed by his assistants, hence their departure. Evidently, he has a bit of a Ross Lyon approach.

The next edition of Jo's boys is looking a million dollars. At the start of the year the Charger's coaches were not happy with his attitude and application. Someone must have got into his ear as his season turned around. Played extremely well for Vic Metro and Xavier. Played in defence against Ben King (Hailebury) and beat the 6'10" first round certainty. Silvagni has also pinch hit in the ruck for school and Chargers. Chargers have told him to take a rest and not risk injury in the final 2 TAC cup games. Carlton's father son end of first round pick.

In a potential clever move the Suns are going to take both the King twins in the first round. The other twin is also 6'10" and is a key defender. Getting a long term fullback and full forward in the one draft will help them.

Will Settlefield has had some injury issues but is ready for next season and the Giants will release him to Carlton. He's another first round pick and as good as McGrath at Essendon. He'll play in round 1 next year.

Docherty will be back and the Blues should start 2019 OK until injuries test the lack of depth.

All is not doom and gloom at Princes Park.

The Dragons Footy Factory will only have 3 top ten picks this year and maybe 2 more in the top 20. Next year they will blitz the TAC cup and the draft.

Jon,  Bolton may or may not be..  However  i am sick of carlton doing the revolving coach syndrome and we have done this right from the days of Wayne Brittain , Pagen,  Ratten (Ratten was unfairly sacked) , Malthouse (deserved to go) , now Bolton is still at the realm.. the thing is If carlton sack Bolton now is that the right thing for Carlton and where does that leave the club.  It will send Carlton back another 3 years....  I am not saying Bolton is the man to bring us out of mess Carlton is in... but the year he has had hasnt been a great one and when ya team lacks the depth that some teams have  it shows how bad we really are....  Bolton will continue Next season but i will say next year if the boys do not improve he may get the chop.

John Elliot , yes that had hurt the club very much so  but that was 20 years ago thats hardly the fualt what has happened in the past few years

Yeah. Leave poor Jack alone. Had he become Prime Minister the VFL/AFL wouldn't have been part of the socialist state. I blame Bob Hawke. He caused the landscape to be changed so that the Swans had a lifetime of advantage.

Let’s hope no Friday night games for them until they are competitive.

Based on their last couple of decades, Mouldy could live to 100 and still not see it. Or get within 20 of shooting his age.

No Fev, No Blues? No way. Henderson looked a little out of the mix (okay a lot) but he will come back in to the team with much more confidence this week I imagine (Waite made sure he would be coming back). As Mike Sheehan (who knows a bit about footy) said on the weekend "They deserve to be considered the best of the rest".

My how things change ……… the first post of this thread.

Who is this Henderson guy where's he been hiding? ... not to mention some bloke called Waite ……  ;)
