Hi, I have just joined a club as a full member that requires me to hand in my first 3 cards signed by an existing member to obtain my AGU handicap. Question is: do the three cards need to be from the club I joined or can it be from any of ther other clubs I currently play at as long as a member signs it?

Has to be the club you are a member of bing. Does not have to be a competition round though, social rounds are OK. As long as you have fellow member(s) mark and sign your cards for you.

I have just recently got my handicap by handing in 3 cards. Two were from the club I am a member at, and one was from another course. Pro at my club said that fine and all went through without issue

Agreed, no need for the cards to be from your home club.

Sorry, I should have checked the wording; "Any stipulated Extra Day or competition round of between 9 and 18 holes inclusive returned on ANY course with an AMCR will be acceptable for this purpose (subject to the normal additional conditions a club may place on Extra Day Scores)."
