Am ordering some golf balls for a family friend to bring out here from the US in a few weeks. Just trying to work out though, hopefully someone here can help, possibly Boz, how much would 2 dozen or 3 dozen golf balls weigh in their box?

From Rockbottom: Products Weight Balls 1 lb. per 3 Doz Funny how everyone asks Boz questions when he's only around here in spirit these days! Don't know what you've got 'till it's gone! Leigh, you not interested in trying some of Boz's stock? The new balls, especially The Gels, are getting rave reviews including from the odd low 'capper around the place.

Balls weigh a little under 46g (1.62oz) each. 24 x 46g = 1.1kg 36 x 46g = 1.7kg Add in about 300g for a square metre of cardboard, plus consignment packaging.

From Rockbottom:

Products Weight
Balls 1 lb. per 3 Doz

Must be light balls! A ball is 1.62 ounces. 36 balls @ 1.62 oz = 58.32 oz or 3.65 lb, plus packaging.

Well that's a little strange. They're ripping themselves off!

Well a source (he who can't be named) tells me that a brand of quality AUSTRALIAN BALLS weighs in at 650gm per dozen, as to what an imported ball weighs he is not so sure.

Could be that they get a deal with the shipping companies and they pass the savings on to the customer.

Bugger Bump Bugger He who can't be named could well be know as Voldemort!!! far as I can work out his balls are to bright to be associated with the dark side. I think I will have to refer to him as the "Visionary" or "The Exiled One"
