Played in the midweek comp today. Home track, stableford, white tees, slope 128 with a daily HC of 20. Got off to and absolute belter birdie, par, eagle to be 3 under through 3 with 12 points then proceeded to just lose shots everywhere. Had 21 points on the front (41 OTS) inc 2x 1 pointer and 1x scrub. Pretty much played bogey golf on the back 9 for 18 points (48 OTS) with 1x scrub on the 17th. 39 points/89 OTS.

1x Eagle

2x Par

10x Bogeys

2x Doubles

2x Triples

2x Scrubs

0x FIR (Did not hit one fairway all day which isn't uncommon for me at Sandy Creek)

7x GIR

37 putts for the day with 5x 3 jabs (2 scrubs i count as 3 putts)

My handicap prediction is becoming more evident each round.  Well done and keep it up..  Your trip to single figures may just arrive sooner than you think.  The game is there... Like all of us, the consistency needs to kick in.

Thanks Commish. You are 100% correct, the ball striking is getting better with each round but as you said the consistency needs to build also.Throwing myself straight into pennants has helped a lot with how i think about the game and course management. when i was younger id just try to pull off miracle shots if i was in trouble, to so much now haha

Mediocre 35 points (15&20), but the good news was my driving got better as the round progressed.

Will be interesting to see if it's still there tomorrow. :)

Stab at Warra today, but a yellow tee event, following on from the greens being cored yesterday.

Only lost four strokes off my usual playing handicap, yet the course was much easier in terms of length.  There were par 4s under 200m, a par 5 of 242m and a par 3 that's usually just under 200m was only 91m today.

I should have had a brilliant score (others did), but I failed.  The wind was blowing a gale and we got drenched on the back nine.

One birdie and six pars, but three wipes in there too. Eight 1-putts and a 3-putt (or it would have been if I didn't pick up after 2 misses). With the rain onto the sand and lots of footprints therein, balls were diverting everywhere.

Half the field had 40 points or better, I had just 33.

Four scores still to come in (they probably walked off in the heavy rain).  Winner sitting on 49, three 48s.  Another failure of the slope system.

Something like that. Snappy probably looked it up.
Played off 14 in lieu of the usual 18.

In normal weather, the course would be very easy to play. The par should be changed as well - the two par 5s back to par 4, maybe six of the par 4s to par 3s. Then use a 'normal' handicap.

Cracked the shits last night with work so decided to slide a round in today to clear the mind.

Broke 80 with 79 OTS but still left 4-5 shots on course for 38 points so should replace a flag and extend the GA lead over the vertically challenged one metronome.

The race to 7 is on..

Stroke at royal Belmont today and chopped it up real good.
88/79
Two 8's killed me, driver was misbehaving which made it difficult to score, irons were pretty good and putting was ok.
Hopefully I can play schmucks event next Tuesday and rectify those problems🤞

Stab at Warra today.

Two wipes on the front but still managed 16 points.
A wipe and a 1pt on the back for 15 pts. 31 total

Greens were cored last Monday, still crap. Only five 1-putts, two 3-putts.
