Thought of hitting your putts a little firmer?

Pace isn't the problem as such, more the bumpiness and grain, as you'll learn come Sunday........where I'll get to witness you charging them at the hole. :P

Hi All,

My continued playing to a shot or two around my handicap continued yesterday with 37 points, 10 pars, 1 birdie, 6 bogies and a scrub when my ball plugged into a bunker wall on a Par 3 I didn't get a shot on.

JJ

31 at keysie today. 8 over. Irons were pretty rubbish and given I was within range of 4 of the par 5s for two, not making any birdies was pretty bad.
Double bogey from a plugged bunker on 3 was annoying.

Did you plug in the face or on the flat?

We have a local rule allowing drops onto the flat from a plugged lie in the face.

Rule was brought in while our new bunkers have the sand bed in properly.

Face, did not see the local rule. Would've helped our group cause we had 4 plugged lies between us during the round. Damn it

Yeah they're getting better by the week..

The new drainage systems are working really well, I haven't seen a puddle in one since they were done.

Sand is nowhere near as fluffy as it was when first completed, but there are still a lot of instances of balls not rolling back to the flat from some of the faces.

80 at Langy today = 36 points.

no 3 putts

didn't have higher than a 5 on any hole so very consistent.

no birdies

1DB = 5 on par 3 after I hit a mouldy from bunker lie.

Hcap = into 9.0 due to low DSR

88 off the beater at Sandy Creek today for 45 points

Was absolute day light robbery to be fair. Was a 7 marker a few years back then stopped playing so have had to start again with the HC and I'm off 22. Daily HC was 25.

What i have found odd is that my HC only dropped 1 shot. Hopefully back up todays efforts on Saturday to have a sniff at a win hahaha.

Your earlier handicap must not have been golflinked otherwise you would not be off 22.  You will find it drops dramatically as you get above 14 rounds (or thereabouts) of the 20 in golflink.  You'll be off 13 before you know it.
