Stab at Warra today.
Started with my only 3-putt for the day. No wipes but lots of 1-point holes that needed 3-pointers to counter them.

17 out, 18 back for 35. Seven 1-putts but still had lots of near misses.

Have greens slowed up or did they leave them quick.?

Also noticed you have had 4 flags in a row, yet hcap has gone out.!!!

The greens have returned to normal, which is still fairly fast.

As for flags, I knocked off five flags from the bottom of my 20.

Since 1 Sept I've gone out from 16.3 to 17.6 and I'm now just .031 off from playing off 20 at Warra. Also out to a playing 'cap of 19 at Beacy, ready for tomorrow's medal, 2 strokes more than last month.

But I can't go out any further - 5 blanks at the bottom to be cleared over the next two weeks.

Senior Medal at Gardiners Run. Stableford off the whites.
17/18 for 35.
3 lip out birdies and 4 scrubs. It was rubbish with something resembling golf.

Maybe, but keep in mind Mick's handicap.

There's a lot of room there for some rubbish in the round.

Old farts nine hole this morning. Perfect golfing weather.

All drives were good except that on 16 (back nine), although the tilted fairways moved a couple of balls from centre to edge.

A chip-in birdie on the par 5 for 4 points countered two 1-points and a 3-point on the last got my tally up to 19 points.

No 3-putts.

Another day of absolute puzzlement. Really hit it well with the driver on the range and thought I had finally nailed a swing thought that would work. Wrong!

First driver tee shot 60m along the ground left. Next driver tee shot, vast improvement, 110m along ground left. Next hole 180m sliced right. Then next hole, just like the old days with a 260m rip down the left rough which resulted in easy two putt par on number two index hole.

And so it went - just three decent drives out of the thirteen times I used the big dog.

Hitting a lot of very good iron shots and a mixture of poor putting due to the renovations. Result 33 points, and the puzzle continues........next weekend maybe?
