Snuck out for a sly pre work round this morn.
35 points (22/13)
1 wipe
No 3 jabs

On fire heading out.
Lost all rhythm coming in.
Golf is the cruelest of mistresses.

Game 1, played single stab in Pampling Plate trainee Pro am, 30 points, was a flagged round , so that’s a bonus.
Hadn’t used new driver till today, tweaked it a bit before tee off and managed 3/4 consistent shots on range.
Felt good

Game 2 this week monthly stroke challenge Wednesday.... 51 front and 47 back.... which includes a moose on 15th and a triple on 16......finished par, bogie....good to break 100.... this was held on day 3 of the Plate, greens were drying out due to winds , so nice and slick.

Hit driver better this time, on 15th, went through OOB at fairway end, backhot 3 off tee, hitting 4th into Gumtree’s, lost ball, back hitting, 6th, 7th into trap, 1 out then two putts...
16th again into trees... lost ball, 3 off tee, that went into water hazard, dropped another, put 5th on green for another two putts...

It is what it is, another flagged round, went from 17.8 to 18.2.....

Thanks for reading

Played stab at Garfield with the Vets.

A number of wipes and other crap had me on 11 points at the turn.
Wiped the 10th after losing a ball at the edge of the fairway. Ditto on 13 after pulling my tee shot left then numerous tree shots leaving me with a long putt for a point but missed it. I then came good with a couple of 3-point and a 4-point birdie to come in with 18 points.

Total of 29 points, four 1-putts and a chip-in and no 3-putts for the day.

I felt as though I'd played good golf for most of the round but the end result says 'no'.

My 'cap has gone out two points to get me an extra shot at Warra tomorrow.
