This probably belongs in the "How didn't you play this week" thread.

Now that you've started one, yes, probably.

I lol'd because it's true

Cue Rusty to retort with something that makes no sense

Granted I have not been able to do something as special as stepping on a tee marker but playing golf with a serious injury is something I will never do.

I was down to play today, but last night Jane promised us thunderstorms and diabolically bad weather.  So, I kept my eye on the radar.

At 'get up' time, I checked the radar and it said "no", so I cancelled the booking and rolled over for a sleep-in.

Of course the weather was just fine, including some sunshine, but definitely no rain.

Bugger !

Multiplication stableford today. Stupid idea.

18 out, 17 back, just missed a 4-point, one wipe, five 1-putts, a 3-putt.
No rain.

4bbb stroke on the presidents course and we finished with 69 Nett, not good enough for a ball but not the worst score in.

Stab at Warra today.
17 out, ditto back in. A wipe, two 3-putts, only three 1-putts.

Drained a long putt for a 4-point birdie. Nearly had an earlier one on 7 but some peanut in the group called it before it got to the hole so it veered away.

A bit delayed getting this up but played Ballarat last Thursday.

Hadn't had a hit in about 4 weeks so wasn't sure what I'd dish up. Thought I'd try a Forte Apex 6 golf ball I was sent in a trial offer. First hit of the day straight down the middle flew well but sounded awful off the driver. Anyway started par, par, 3putt par, then found out the Forte balls don't float (wasn't too disappointed to the see the end of it) walked off with double, par, par, par. Unfortunately from 8 I got on the bogey train and couldn't get off until had to take an unplayable and three putted for a triple on 14. Saved my best for the last hole with big drive down the middle and wedge to about 6 inches from the hole for tap in birdie on the last for 37 points and tied for 3rd.

Enjoyed the course and played some solid golf.  My ball striking has improved dramatically in the last 6 months and my last 5 rounds are all counters in my handicap with my index coming down about 2 shots in that time.
