Stab at Warra today.

One wipe on each nine, one 3-putt on each nine, four 1-putts (not evenly spread), 17 points on each nine.

A couple of wayward drives with pull-hooks becoming prevalent. Chips / approach shots not good enough and putts wouldn't drop.

One highlight was a bird on a par 5. Lowlight was chopping a wipe from a greenside bunker on 18. My bunker play has gone to crap.

Stroke at Keysborough yesterday off the white tees.  Playing off 11 for the day.  Count putts also and started off the 10th with my "guest" Mouldy.

First 9 - 43 and 16 putts

Second 9 - 43 and 16 putts

86 nett 75 and 32 putts.   Good enough for a ball DTL and to beat Mouldy in any combination he wishes to mention.    ;)

I was still tarred from those appalling bunkers at Langy. The first one I got into, I felt the bunker was a bit like those Langy ones (thick and slow) so, with a close pin, I chose the 60.4, open face and gave it a good whack. Bloody near cleared the fence and had 50m back to the green. 1 putt.
The second one, on 18, close pin, thought I'd do the same but failed to observe that this one had nicely fluffed, deep sand (doh!). The low bounce club went under the ball which failed to extricate itself. A bit annoyed, I tried it again with the same result. As I was then already lying 3 on a par 3, it just seemed appropriate to try it a few more times, just to convince my self that that style of shot doesn't work in fluffy sand. When I first stepped into that bunker, I should have gone back and got the sand wedge with 10° bounce.

Lift, clean and throw?

That would have worked so much better.

Still got a ball dtl without affecting the 'cap.

you can't just leave this here, it sounds like there is a brilliant story to be told when you par half the holes and still raise the bat

Haha i wish it was something good like an 18 on a hole. Did not get to double digits on any holes but had 2x 9s 3x 8s and a few 7 and 6s.
Just absolute butchery.
Par 5 2nd into the wind at mandalay. Top pull driver about 150 into the rough, 4 hybrid 150 into the middle still 200 out and decided to make a safe 6 or possible 5 so lay up 5 iron to 39 out, thin that over the back, 5th bladed into the bunker 2 in there and then 2 putt.
The next par 5, hit 2 balls in the water and duffed a chip for a 9.
11 a 175 par 3, 5 iron pin high right of bunker, shank 30m chip down the hill to 70m away thin the next one over to the front edge then 3 putt.
Just everything but putting is bad tee irons and short game are gone.

Made 4 on all four of the par 5s and only 2 of the par4s. Work that one out.
