Is that 4 games in a row? If you were any better, you'd be a pro, with all that golf.

It's been five a week for a couple of weeks - Wed & Fri off.

I've got to cut back - too much like a job (unpaid).

Stroke today on a composite course of both front nines off the whites and playing off 8. It started with 2 double bogies and did not get much better and finished with 85 nett 77.

No, I don't want to talk about it.

The weather was fine.

For some silly reason, I allowed myself to be talked into yet another round today, despite Jane's promise of rain.

The drizzle started just as we were teeing off.  Have I mentioned that I don't like playing in the rain?  Of course I have.

The early holes saw a 3-putt and a bloody 4-putt !!!!  Nothing commendable and just 12 points for the opening nine.

Back nine started with two 3-putts, although still 2 points on those. Then followed a chip-in and five 1-putts, finishing with a 2-putt. At least I scored a couple of 3-points on the back for a 20 point half and 32 points overall.

Tomorrow is some silly 3-ball Easter special.  That will make it six days of golf in seven days, and some people wonder why I use a cart.

Stab at Warra today.
5th hole, gentle draw and ball goes OOB. Followed that identically with another. Wipe.
Couldn't get putts to drop, had a 3-putt.

Back nine started a bit better with a 1-putt 3-point, but then the wheels fell off. Although I managed some more 1-putts, I also (mis)managed 3 wipes.

27 points.

Maybe tomorrow will bring an improvement.

Par at Warra today.

-2 & -2 for -4

One 3-putt (or not in for 2 = the same thing).

Nowhere near enough 1-putts, only about 3.

I'll take tomorrow off before pennant final at Kingston Links on Thursday.

Played Mandalay today off the whites.

36 points (20/16)

I'm assuming the rough has been cut down considerably because I didn't think it was thick at all, in fact I thought the course was fairly forgiving.

White tees are probably a tad short, was fun though just being able to hit 4w off every tee, lot's of Par 4 between 300-360, not many longer.

I really enjoyed the course, don't bother walking it, there are some monster walks between holes, especially 17-18.

If I lived within 20 mins I'd happily join as a member.

GA should come down to about 14.3 which is my lowest since Sep 2015, so happy times.

Lowest GA since Sep 2014, not 2015, couldn't find the edit button.

First round since Labour Day weekend & the rust was clearly there. Had a nett 78 (93 off the bat 51/42). Horrible first 4 holes, not bad after that bar for a lost ball on the 7th hole. Just gotta get out there more often which is easier said than done these days it seems.

It's well worth a visit Frank, would love to go back and play the blue tees though

Top notch day for it, was surprised to hear there was fog around Melbourne because it was pretty clear there

Senior Pennant final at Kingston Links today.
I had to give the poor old bugger 3 shots (4, 8 & 12). He made good use of the first two, converting halves to wins.
Then he threw a wobbly on 10 (dizzy, lost balance) and I thought it was going to be a quick victory, but he came good and pressed on.
Finally got him on 17: 3 & 1.

The teams were 3 matches each, so the number ones had to go down the 1st. We lost on the third playoff hole.

Yarra Yarra today playing stableford.   Playing off 9 and the white markers.    Also playing a guy off 6 for the scratch Matchplay knockouts.....

Front 9 - 16 points (43 off the stick)

3 Down in the matchplay

Back 9 - 20 points (38 off the stick)

36 points and 81 off the stick

Lost the match 4 & 3...after playing the 15th

36 got a ball DTL...as the winner from  grade had 46!!!! and there were a couple of 40's as well.

Pretty happy with my game but after the match had been decided I go and birdie 16 & 17 and shaved the birdie putt on 18.     Stupid golf.

Another flaged round and a drop to another all time low of 7.5   :-))
