Having just joined up I thought I’d fill out my profile.
I played loads of golf when I was younger – in fact, despite the talk of the weather in Scotland being terrible 365 days of the year and perhaps through rose tinted glasses, I remember being dropped off by my dad on his way to work and playing 36-54 holes (sometimes more) of golf every day before being picked up at dusk (11pm-ish) in the summer. I’d certainly love to have those long days here!
As stated in my intro post I’m just starting to get into golf again having played only a few rounds socially over the last 13 years. I’m looking to join a club but haven’t landed on where yet. Bio as follows:

What’s in the Bag?: Titleist 8.5 975D; Titleist 14.5 975F; a garbage recovery club I won; 3-PW Titleist 990s; a Mizuno TP gap wedge I stole off my brother; Ben Hogan Special SI I have had since I was 13 and a TaylorMade TPI-22 putter
Highest / lowest / current handicaps: 36 / 3.4 / None
Handicap Goal for 2018: Get better clubs, join a club and get back to former glories (or somewhere near)
Strengths: Finding fairways off the tee and short game
Weaknesses: Distance and no longer have the timing to hit my irons (new clubs in train to sort this out)
Your Typical Pre-Round Routine: Hit a few full shots (range or nets) then work on the short game
Your Golf Attire (usually): Here: Shorts and polo; Back home: entire wardrobe at the same time
Your Usual Ballflight: Low to keep under the wind (was a necessity in my former life but working on changing this)
Have You Played Competitively?: Yes a long time ago though
Pick The Ball Cleanly, or Divot?: Divot, but unfortunately more fat now than skilled

Best score for 9 holes: Lowest score pair of 33 at Huntly Golf Course, however best 9 holes on a recognizable course is 34 (-2) back 9 medal tees at Carnoustie
Best score for 18 holes: Lowest score 66 (-1) at Huntly Golf Course. Best score to par was a 67 (-5) at Torrance House Golf Course with an eagle - birdie finish
Best golfing memory: Playing Pebble Beach – especially playing the cliff parts (6 through 10) in -2.
