Last round was in June and had a NCR

Can accept mid 40’s but 50 with a wipe is hard to fathom

Heavily renovated unputtable rubbish greens weren't the sole contributor to a pathetic 22 points. The yips are now working their way through the entire set! :o

Regardless, day off tomorrow, so backing up again. Might run out of partners, but not willpower! :)

Couple of hits over the weekend, both rounds played well on the back 9 and crap on the front. The greens on the front are not coming back as quickly as the back 9 so I'm blaming that.
Hitting the ball really well but the short game is disgusting, chip shots especially are as bad as any golfer can be.

The highlight there was being short of 7 in two and blading three consecutive chips,  Smoking a drive to 35m on 8 and duffing a PW chip and run 10m, putting from 25m to a foot for par.

Stats from the two rounds 22/28 Fairways, 25/36 GIR, 67 putts
4 birds, 6 bogeys, 3 doubles.
77 gross on Saturday, 36 off 3 yesterday.

Club champs coming up in the next month so need to find a short game before then or else I'll be wasting my time.

Side Note- They've changed the format this year for our clubbies for some reason, it's now 54 hole gross with a cut at 36 holes. Not sure why they've done away with the matchplay and not gone to a full 72 hole tournament but it is what it is.

Started out with the umbrella up and then it cleared. But knew it was only going to be momentary, and so it proved.

It never got torrential, but it definitely increased, ensuring by day's end we were soaked.

Only managed 30 points and given my pathetic yipped driving wasn't too bad a score, Add in the heavily cored greens resulting in 36 putts and I guess it wasn't too bad a score, maybe.

40 points today to win comp. Started double, double then strung together 6 pars and a bogey to turn 5 over. Back 9 was reasonable with a bogey on 10, double on a par 5 12th, 190m par 3 birdie on 13, followed by a 140m par 3 double, only wipe for the day. Parred last 4 for a 4 over back 9.

33 (16/17) birdie, wipe, some good and no so good play on a damp track, that apart from a few bunkers out gur & slowish greens was a pleasure. Maybe followup tomorrow if weather holds. :)

Round 2 of Olinda clubbies @ Beacy today. Stroke, but stab equivalent also recorded.

Started with a 3-point then followed that with 3 wipes, caused by an OOB, a water hazard and another WH.

I steadied after that, finishing the front with just 12 points, or 6 shots too many. Back nine was mostly 2-point holes with a couple of 1s, but I finished with two 3-points to counter the 1s and came in with 18 points.

All up, gross 96, nett 77.

But it's not over yet. Another, and final, round next week. In B grade, we have 4 players within 3 strokes, so there's still hope.

I forgot to mention: just four 1-putts and a 3-putt. The greens were dead slow: Lakes about usual but the Hills, usually somewhat quicker, were also dead. I had trouble coping.

Make that 12 over 47

May flag but if it does it wont be a very good one - replace a 17.1 with probably something similar
