Played a quick 9 holes at the Pender Island Golf & Country club. It's a short 9 hole course with a number of different tee boxes so they can play with the yardages for 18 holes. Shot 34 scratch (Even) with 9 pars and 16 putts. Fun tree lined country course with enough interesting holes to warrant a game.

25 pts yesterday.........
Severely hung over after a big night at Crown!
38 putts( 4 x 3 putts) wasn't as bad as the numbers would suggest
5 FIR
6 GIR

Driver was ok missed most fairways by small margins but the rest of my game was shite slightly perplexed as i was hitting the ball well on Friday at the range.

After extensive testing and analysis, I have concluded that excessive alcohol can have a significant impact on one's golfing abilities.

Although I have met some people who can't play decent golf without it.

A strange round of 34 points which included 6 three-pointers and a four-pointer. The rest was fairly ordinary though and the driving was equally so.

A continuing work in progress......maybe next weekend.

But then, we core the greens, and have to putt on absolute rubbish for the next six weeks. Same story every year - Bermuda greens die back during winter and the heavy grain is reduced. Greens roll true and fast, then we heavy core and sand, spas putters on fast greens become champs, scores escalate like you wouldn't believe, and after about six weeks we shave them down again, and life returns to some normalcy, and the chumps start three-putting again.

And then......... we core them again just when they come good. Can't understand why we don't get reduced Membership fees given we have to putt on crap for three months of every year.

Played the Saturday comp at Port Kembla. Two bad shanks that cost at least 4 shots, 10(!?!?!) bunker shots since I just couldn't figure out the bunkers and took too much sand all the time. 25 points and and an overall miserable experience. Driver was working well though and I hit a 269 meter drive on 14 which was my longest in a while. Irons were a complete disaster though...

yep know all about those 2 nines....

front 9: par, birdie, birdie, par, bogey, par, birdie, par, par turned in 33 and - 2

back 9: bogey, par, bogey, bogey, bogey, par, bogey, bogey, double +8 44

+6 77

it's funny the front 9 was nothing special just holed putts and hit greens and 1 decent drive.

back nine nothing special couldn't hole a putt and couldn't hit a green, chipping turned to **** and couldn't get up and down, missed greens from 100 yards and made double on par 5 18 after dumping my 2nd shot layup into water.

Total waste of a round...

I had a hit at Warragul on Sat. Stroke the name of the game .

Shot 90 for a nett 74, burned the edge of the hole on multiple putts, short game was pretty good, nearly chipped in twice but the slick greens meant anything over 3 feet was a knee trembler.

First round of stroke I've played in ages so not unhappy with how I went considering it felt like I left plenty out there.
