Forecast is looking good with just a bit of westerly wind to cool things down again in the mornings - otherwise all good!

If you have a free day and want to get a round in we have Thursday,Saturday and Monday with nothing booked and will be doing a night at top golf 👍

97 net 84 at Caboolture in first round of our Club Championships - lucky it’s 3/4!

Couldn’t do anything right around the greens, and a bit wayward at times with the full swing

Up at Tocumwal for weekend golf.
Fri was a practice round (not handicapped), something like 26 points. It started raining 10 mins after we started our round.

This free wifi is apalling, just 1Mbps at present and it keeps dropping out.
I'm off for drinks, will try again later.

Monthly medal on the presidents course and started on the back nine with an easy double bogey and then every thing clicked for a while until an easy 10 crept in and scrambled all the way home to finish with 88 nett 77.

Normal programming has resumed - 26 points. Driving was the worst ever, and those putts that fell in from everywhere yesterday, failed to drop today.

But that's golf.......just wish I could drive it somehing like I used to.

Pro Am tomorrow which will be interesting for the poor pro who gets to witness my ineptitude. :)

Resuming my Tocumwal report, after drinks, dinner and drinks.

On the Presidents course yesterday. 19 & 19 for 38 points with 30 putts which included a 3-putt. Enough to win day 1 on a countback.

The club mob tried to nobble me with many drinks, took a wrong turn heading back to my room (night walking) but found it anyway.

Up at 6:00 this morning, breakfast at the clubhouse, then early tee-off (not that early, I was in group 7), still feelin a little seedy. A bit of a slow start but racked up 16 points out and came in with another 17 points. 11 putts out and 15 back in.

38 Saturday plus 33 today for a 71 point total had me as equal winner but lost on countback. A bit of an improvement on last year's NAGA.

Try again next year.

Played 18 on the Beach Course at 13th Beach in the wind on Sunday. Certainly not renowned as a wind golfer but had one of my better rounds. Shot 39 on the first nine (inc. a lost ball) and came home with 42 (inc a lost ball) for an 81 off the stick (GA h'cap 11.6 at the moment). Shame I wasn't in the comp as would have done some serious damage to the h'cap. Cleaned up my mates as they both raised the bat.

Conditions were tough I normally hit a 3 iron about 200m on the 9th I was sitting 150m from the front edge hit a full 3 iron and ended up 15m short. Unfortunately I am not playing regularly but  when I do I am really swinging the club well. Last 5 rounds are all flags on the h'cap and if not wins certainly in the mix and then the round on Sunday who knows I may it back to where I was 15 years ago.

I have a boys trip in about 5 weeks (which is probably next hit) so they better watch out might retain the jacket for the first time in history of the cup.

Played Brookwater today for the first time and wow... just wow.
91OTS and I was kind of happy with that. Besides a 2 lost balls on a par 5 9 it was 5 pars a bunch of bogeys and doubles.
The most relentless test of golf I have ever seen if you ain't razor off the tee. We played gold tees which were back on 7 holes and mid back for the other 11. 141 slope.
3,4,5,6 were a very fun stretch of holes.
I think it's a course that you need to play 2-3 times as you get overwhelmed by the experience for the first few holes.

Also spent 2 hours at top golf this afternoon and am super hammered now. Brillaint

Somehow managed 33 points without putting well. The full swing yips are really starting to become too much.

But, what else am I going to do on weekends? Somehow got work out how to overcome this!
