The driving contiues to make it impossible to post a reasonable score - 25 points, no flag, no change.......in pocket either after paying out. :(

Nope - had to chip out on a couple then hit 3 wood, lost ball on another. My short game could't bail me this time as I mostly had run out of shots before I got anywhere near the greens.

There's gotta be a way........maybe I'll find it before going out today. :)

21/19 for 40 at the frogge. Smashed some drives, hooked some irons, holed some putts. Good to be back living in the 70s. Hope to visit again soon.

Deege and i combined for 42 points today. 18 on the front was our downfall.
I hit it well but the short game was disgusting and putting wasnt much better for most of it.

Round one of Vic mid am today and played the national Long Island course.
Absolute butchery from me, my concerns over playing stroke were very valid. Ended up with 4 doubles 2 triples and a 9/8 on the back to back par 5s (someone beat me with an 11/12 combo on those holes).
Played terribly off the tee and poor from bunkers which I found many off. Ended up making 5 pars from the 1 green I hit.
Highlight of the was was hitting 3 balls off the tee on 8(our 17th) and walking off with par.
More stroke at Cranbourne tomorrow... happy days.

Had 10 points after three holes and three cracking drives. Pity it didn't last - only hit three more fairways for the round and even then those drives were ordinary at best.

Still, that's a big improvement on recent rounds, although 28 points hardly thrilled me, or my playing partner. Lots of flags coming up and a rapid rise in handicap I fear.

It was to have been a Traralgon Plate day today (club sponsored team event), but Warra was light on for willing players and I missed out.

We had pennant practice this arvo for just nine holes. I won 1-up, but we played scratch instead of handicap so I didn't really deserve it.

why not hit a more conservative club like a 3wood , a 3 hybrid or even a 5 iron off tee and get 14 /14 in fwy rather than go for the big smash and get 3 /14.?

Played 4BBB Par at Warragul, teammate and I finish at +11, with both of us combining well and having no wipes on the way, we came equal 2nd (with 4 other teams, winner had +12) and got a ball in a countback.....FFS, that doesn't even cover the comp fee.

Not Happy Jan!

Good thought, but as I've said before, if you took driving out of the game, it wouldn't be worth playing! :D
