Played Lakelands today off the whites.
Absolute gem of a course, well worth a visit if your on the Gold Coast.
As for the golf... Nearly missed the ball on the first tee and scrambled a bogey.
Next hole, snap hook off the tee then a shank followed by a topped 5 iron into the front bunker to a career bunker shot to 8 feet from 35 meters.
Parred the next and bogeyed a couple more then parred 6 to 12. Pretty solid for the rest of the round until 18 which I tripled.
82 off the stick=39 points.
Guy in the shop said he would handicap them for us which is nice.

Yeah- lay off Kinesh. He has never had -9 on his opening 9.

He managed it on his closing 9 however.

If I can win an OOM anyone can.

Played The Glades today and some dope in our group had the idea to play it at its full 6500M in soft wet conditions.
Things were pretty grim for that 9, ended up shooting 50 flat.
The general concensus was to change to the next set of tees up which I think were gold. That 9 plays about 2900 from there.
Things got a lot easier thank god and ended up shooting 38 that side for 88, honestly thought I was batting for 100 for the first time this trip. Unfortunately left my sand wedge on the course and it has not been handed in.
End of the trip and flying home in an hour.
I am about as golfed out as one can possibly get.
8 rounds of golf and way to many slabs.
Good spot for a golf trip over Melbournes winter.
Off all the 8 rounds 90 was the high and 83 was the low.
Pretty happy with the end result as last years trip I batted for 100 3/7 rounds and on easier courses.

Well done

Glades isn't obviously difficult but at full length it's a real challenge - needs good work from the tee and around the greens

What a great trip you ever had

Well done on the scoring

Yeah from the tips, I think I figured I could reach about 7 greens in reg if I got good drives away. Way to much for me to handle.
I think we are going to do it again next year so if your up for a round I'll let you know.
