Yeah beginning on the 10th is a "soft start" according to our Mouldy

Never mind that I get 1 shot on the first 3 holes of the back nine, as opposed to 2 shots on the first 3 holes of the front nine.

Which means the front 3 are harder!

Handicap

Best result: 2 over 74 at Hills International on 13 Feb 2016

Eagles: 21/10/16 17th Keysborough, 24/10/16 18th Woodlands

Goal: A round at par or better!

Brisbane Fairways 2015 Club Champion

Brisbane Fairways 2015 Clubman of the Year

Winner: 2015 Nationals day 5 round at Links Hope Island

Winner: 2016 Nationals day 5 round at Woodlands

I never look at a hole that has a shot on it as anything other than a opportunity for a bonus point.

Given that the first 2 holes on the front are par 5's, I'm pretty sure every Keysie golfer worth their salt is dirty when they don't make par on them (C Graders aside, but they're not golfers anyway ;) )

Definite wasted opportunity.

Holes 11 and 12 at Keysie are no lay down pars.

I'm always stoked to walk off them with pars.

11 is a 385m par 4 and 12 is a 177m par 3

The 10th is an easy hole though.

Got ya!

Although in a sense that fits with Mouldy's theory that if he can't score there he's stuffed!

I don't let theories get in the way of facts. There are thousands of rounds at Keysie to prove that less than 6 points on holes 1-3 means in more than 98% of cases the player cannot better their handicap. This applies to all grades.

You've analysed every round at Keysie to come to your 98% chance conclusion, or are you making **** up again?

No. There is no need to look at the 90% of cards that get less than 37 points. For 2 or 3 weeks I did look at the qualifying cards for Wed, Fri, Sat and Sun which was around 2000 rounds. Something like 1 or 2 players per comp managed to beat the hoodoo. Takes no time at all to look at the leaderboards for the 10%.

Rather than rely on Mouldy's ponderings, are not the hole indexes based on some sort of statistically gathered data?

Or is it as I suspect, based on a straw poll of half pissed 70 yr olds in the clubhouse saying what holes they hate the most? (No offence to any half pissed 70 yr olds sitting in clubhouses around the nation who may be reading this via their phone apps). :)
