Intro - New journey

So. I went and had a hit with my new clubs for only the 2nd time yesterday and was really happy. It’s still going to take me a while to get used to them completely but it’s amazing how much more you can do with the ball with some decent clubs.

So I’m extremely happy with the way I was hitting the ball. Now just have to work on being consistent and MOST of all work on my putting.

I am the worst putter, just need a few tips and lots of practice.

For what it is worth Gibbsy, it took me about 4 months to start to feel consistent with new clubs and know what they can do. All hail the putting practice – you can never have too much of it.

If 36 shots is 80%, then the full game is 45 shots. Wow !!

Just as a matter of interest, how do you get to 18 greens in 9 shots?

On a par 72 course, 36 putts constitute exactly half the shots required to play to par… this is why GIR and putting are the two most important stats.

Too much slow play means that golf has a wait problem

yeah i know but i was just happy with how i hit the ball becasue my first time using them i was pretty hopeless, so little steps at a time and just keep practising.

Kiwi – i know what you mean about the putting, i have to learn to love that stupid thing

Always always have a positive mind set when putting
no matter how much you really suck at it

Always Always stand behind when playing in Shreks group
hosel rockets are soooo un predictable

We can see why, Kiwi.

So, I’ve had a few more games with my clubs and am so frustrated that I can’t hit the ball properly, Finished 18 over on Saturday at my comp and haven’t played to my handicap in weeks. Guess I have to keep pushing and practising
