Hi guys,

Would just like to introduce myself, here is a little bit about me.

name: Jason Gibbs
age: 23
Hometown: Miranda, The shire. Sydney
Handicap: 8

Golf: been playing golf from a young age with my dad, and have been a member of a social group for the last 3 years or so but never really get the chance to play with them.
So a few months ago i joined a local club that my dad plays at which is Kareela.
I know a lot of people and mixed opinions about the course but its just local and time i get to spend with my dad on a saturday.

I have only been getting serious about my golf since i joined the club and since then have had new clubs fitted which are the new Callaway X hot Pros with custom graphite shafts 4 – PW, i use a Nike machspeed driver and just also purchased a new Callaway x hot pro 18degree hybrid.

Will be good to speak to all other players and learn alot more about the game of golf off this forum.

Cheers.
Jason

Don’t believe everything you read in here. A lot of it is bullshit.

On the other hand, if you ask a serious question, at least one of the answers will be serious. Good luck with it all.

Welcome Jason. I started with my dad as well mate and there is nothing like it. I was 14 when i first started playing golf and played off 9 by the time i was 16 . My dad and i were also big pool players. my old man passed in 97 and i haven,t played in a pool comp since. I also went off golf for quiet some time. Its just not the same without my dad. However the blokes on this site and more so Ozdevil have helped me love the game again. i dont get time to practice as much hence why i play off 20 now and will never be back to single figures. You will get a good laugh out of the people here. In Victoria we have the oom days where 60 of us have a round of golf , im sure N.S.W has the same sort of thing well worth it mate they are great days. hope you enjoy the site. Acca…....

Obnoxious, facetious, a little rude but a genuinely good guy while delicately balancing being an asshole. It’s not you, it’s just in his nature.
If you ever meet him in person give him a hug, he likes that.

In other words, take what you read here with a grain of salt…

Of course reading a lot of this means a lot of grains of salt – the danger being dehydration… so, when you are on the course and on this site – keep your fluids up.

Too much slow play means that golf has a wait problem
