I am number six double three

so if you wear long pants outside winter, use iron covers, have more than 1 towel strapped to bag, wash clubs after every game, irons cargo shorts before game, arrives more than 5 min 23 seconds before tee time, drinks a flat white after game in clubhouse, orders a salad roll at bistro, has more than 6 balls in golf bag, knows what shaft flexes actually mean, wallet less than 35 mm thick, has a ewan porter signed hat, posts more than 457 words in a single post, has less than 3 spare iron sets and your favourite web site is golf classifieds on ISG and OG then you may be a fag !

There is no one right way to eagle it up

Was quite an interesting round actually, had a lesson on friday and took it out on the course without practicing it.

Drove the ball awesome, only missed one fairway which cost me the double. did hit an iron off a tee and shanked the sucker…........sheesh.
the iron play was shite 1st 9 holes as i was hitting them fat, i was trying to shorten my swing and got anxious and was ripping it from the top. once i got used to it and just swung easy they lit up and they were on song.

The coach reckons i hit my wedges too far and have to throttle them down, have taken 10 m off and the control is back and the flight is perfect. so it’s now 110-100m/pw, 90 m/52, 80 m/56, and 70m/60 where as before it was 115/pw 105/52 95/56 and 80/60. All wedge shots feel like a big chip shot now with hardly any weight shift and a short backswing, feels funky atm but will persist as it works very well.

It seemed my direction was off due to the usual cupped wrist at the top of the backswing, always been an issue. Was pulling and pushing everything, really struggled to hit one on line which is now fixed.

so i turned 3 over and steamed home 4 under the back, the back 9 was probably the best 9 i’ve played for years ball striking wise, i really should have had 6 under, lipped out 3 times as well.

Great day as we got round in just under 3 hours and the 3 scores were 41 points, 41 points and 38 points…........so fast play is the go.

Look what I just recovered from the backyard yesterday.
It’s been there for 10 years !

I stopped using it when all the lakes dried up and it has been locked in ever since due to the garage being full.

Yesterday I replaced the winch. It needs a new fuel tank and line as they deteriorated being left in the open.

Have to get it to a lake to see if the sucker will start !

dont like practising any more (fair enough)
but you still get excited with the new irons
still have lessons & are willing to never stop learning
not sure about the nose job tho
