Foster, I think your are just a bit too sensitive. Just go with the flow. People will disagree with you, just as you will disagree with them. If you feel someone has unfairly criticised you, just don’t offer that person any assistance when they ask for it. It might also help if you aren’t too critical of others’ ideas, even though you may believe them to be all bullshit. It is all too easy to take some comments to be personal insults. If you want to provide an opinion, feel free to do so. Just ignore those who fire back. I’m sure you could help many of us with your knowledge, but your ideas won’t suit everybody. I’ve certainly learnt a lot since I’ve been a participant and I’ve surely upset some too. Shit happens.

Good riddance! I’m joking to highlight a point. My assumption is that you are an older person. Internet forums are a product of the last 10 years or so and I think you need to adjust your approach to them. Your relationships here are very different to relationships you would have with the same people if you met them face-to-face. Generally, peoples’ attitudes and comments are amplified and you can’t read any body language. It’s very easy to take things out of context and people often say things they’d never say to you in person. I think you need to see forums like the media (for want of a better analogy). You read/view what you want and ignore what you don’t. That’s a bad analogy. What I mean is, don’t take things personally. Forum relationships are fickle and who cares what somebody you’ve never met thinks anyhow.

If smAsh went to church on Sundays instead of golf, his lessons from Jesus (or his sales rep) would be free and he’d save the money he’d otherwise spend at golf. And if he read a modern bible, he might also learn to spell. No, I don’t go to church, either. But smAsh brought up the religious angle.
