Does anyone have any idea about the new Norman track in Sydney? My understanding is that it is a residential development in Blacktown, thus probably pretty exclusive. Any intelligence would be welcomed. ATGTT

Google Stonecutters Ridge and check out a few of the links.

I heard that all current members of Ashlar would be moved over?

I believe the story is that Ashlar golf course in the Blacktown CBD will be sold for housing, and the Ashlar club and all its members will move to the Stonecutters Ridge course out at Dean park.

There is a proposal for Ashlar to swap their land for the Stonecutters Ridge course. The Ashlar site would be turned into a housing estate. I heard that whilst its not done and dusted its looking more likely to get up than less likely. Which for me will be great because they are one of our reciprocals.

Ashlar vote is likely next month, or maybe November, and the many new members who have joined upon hearing of the Stonecutters swap should ensure the 75% “yes” vote required is achieved. Stonecutters will not open until 2010, so the current Ashlar course will stay until then. Lynwood – the course at Pitt Town – replaces the old Kellyville GC goat track opposite the cemetary on Windsor Road that got eaten up for development. It’s a “links-style” course on the Hawkesbury flood plain – interesting!

when you say Kellyville GC is that the old mungerie park ( or mongrel park as we called it) that was owned by the aust postal institute??
