Hole and course designs

A mate and I often design holes and sometimes entire courses just for fun, but have started to wonder whether a designer working on a new course would ever consider looking at a few with the few to possibly taking them to use as his own. All we'd want out of it is the knowledge that we designed such and such a hole at such and such a course. If I do say so myself, some of them are pretty bloody good golf holes.

What do you use to design them - a bit of software or just hand draw ?!

Just hand draw. For the ones I rally get into, I shade them with colour to accent them. I'll try to post some so Jack and Tithers can tear them apart for me.

Scott, Please scan and post on here. A mate and I use to do the same thing at school and then play them by flicking a pencil from the tee to a hole on the green which was a small circle. There were penalty shots if you missed the fairway or put it in a bunker. That mate is now a golf course architect as well!!
Id like to see some of your designs and have you explain the
strategy.

I too used to play that game, GREAT GREAT stuff, i got 1000 holes from it lying around, maybe i have a career, i once designed a whole course, each page of my book was a hole, and at the end i tore all 18 out and stuck them together and colored in the gaps, big 18 hole course, with clubhouse design and all

Wow! That makes three. A mate and I used to do exactly the same thing.
