Scott Course Design

I notice Phil Scott (Adam's dad?) has branched out into course design.

Does he have any pedigree there, or is he just trading on the fact that his son can play?

Perhaps all the greens will funnel down to the cup so his young bloke can make some putts for once!

He designed Peregian Springs on the Sunshine Coast. Don't rate it that highly. Probably outside the top eight on the Sunny Coast.
Just for argument's sake my top 10 would be:
1 Hyatt Coolum
2 Pacific Harbour
3 Club Pelican
4 Twin Waters
5 Noosa Springs
6 Horton Park
7 Caloundra
8 Headland

Yes, Phil Scott is Adam's dad.

I was fortunate enough to have a round with him in Melbourne a few years ago.
Aside from being Adam's business manager he is (was) a teaching pro.
He went alright around RM west despite having just recovered from a busted back.
"AFL and the sandbelt" were the best things about Melbourne he said.

I'm not sure about designing courses but he's played a few.

A lovely fellow indeed. smile.gif

scott design is only a recent developement, but he has been in course architecture for many years now. Adams achievements has only helped his ability to market and hence forming scott design.

I'd imagine he has the creds as much as anyone...

all the best to him.

Scott Design redesigned the 1st and 18th at my local course Kooralbyn. The 18th is awesome one of the toughest Par 4s I have ever seen let alone played.
