Ok Sydney ISGers, do you want to meet other Sydney or Canberra ISGers for a game of golf.

Please advise if you are interested and let me know which is the best day of the week for you.

How much do you want to spend?
Where would you like to play?
How far would you travel for a game of golf?

hope you guys can get one happening soon... its great to finally meet all these people you talk to on ISG all the time

Don't forget to take a camera so everyone else can see what your ugly mugs look like

Good Luck :!:

is Canberra worth the stop-over???

hell yeah mau...

Hey all,

How about we play an Open day somewhere on the weekend in Sydney?

I'll bring hubby along too smile.gif

Your HCP is dropping fast, keep it up... biggrin.gif

Open Day is a great idea.

A Sunday Open Day sounds the goods.

I would travel anywhere in Sydney for an ISG day. I am only available on weekends, and sunday seems to be the most popular choice so far. Not sure about playing in some club's open day though - would rather get a "social booking".

I suggest Eastlake GC - available on Sunday arvo with a booking. Cheap - $30.

Fishhead - would we get through 18 holes starting in the afternoon? I've tee'd off at 12.30pm the past few weeks and it has been very dark coming up the 18th at 5pm.

Sunday arvo or any day really would be good, I would definitely attend if my roster allows.
As for finishing, as long as you're in by about 5.30 at the moment its O.K.
Might I suggest when checking course availability that you ask about greens coring as many Sydney courses are doing this about now.

amanda,
By mid-september, the sun sets at 5:50pm. Shouldn't be a problem.

Cool - my course is sort of in a valley so it must get dark a little earlier smile.gif

Count me in too . . . weekend is better for me

Don't you guy's have sickies down that way

... what is a sickie?

Onewood your handicap is an indication of how many sickies you throw smile.gif

Count me in too for the golf day, Sat or Sun doesnt bother me...

Instead of Eastlakes, couldn't we go for somewhere that may cater for a group a bit better.
Camden Lakeside
Riverside Oaks

If we don't mind a drive.
Mount Broughton

Mount Broughton

I pretty sure this is closer to me than Riverside Oaks whose postcode starts with a 4.

Mt Bro may also entice our Canberra friends along.

Where is Mount Broughton? How far from Sydney?

It is just south of Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands, about 1 hour 20 from the M5 toll gates I think. Andrew may have a closer estimation.

wanna take a sickie? laugh.gif

Mt Broughton is a pretty easy drive these days. 110km all the way.

I must say, I like the sickie idea. Although, it doesn't really affect me.

Monday or Friday is the best for me.
