Talk is cheap. Especially here on ISG. And sadly, grudge matches have been few and far between.

Now there will be no more excuses...

Presenting the

ISG Challenge

Rules.

1. The series is only open to those with official AGU handicaps and more than 250 posts.
2. You may only challenge those ISG members who are in reasonably close proximity to you.
3. If you issue a challenge to another ISG member you must be prepared to host them at your club, or at a public course close to both of you.
4. Chellenges will be settled via traditional handicap matchplay.
4. You must give a reason for your challenge, however "I challenge you because you are a &%#@" is probably sufficient.
5. The acceptor of the challenge agrees to pay his/her own green fee or the members introduced green fee if played at a public course.
6. In addition to the challenge, the challenger must nominate a stake that is up for grabs, with a minimum bet of $25and a maximum of $50. The acceptor of the challenge has the option of doubling the stake if they see fit. All bets are to be paid on the day with results posted in this thread within 24 hours.
7. You may only issue one challenge at a time, and must also PM the person challenged to make them aware of the challenge.
8. Challenges must be accepted or declined within one week. You must give a reason in this thread for declining a challenge.
8. All challenges must be made in this thread, and must include the following details:

- name of ISG member challenged
- reason for challenge
- stake
- venue
- timeframe

For example, golfguy33 may issue a challenge to Jack "for being a prick to me all the time here on ISG" at a stake of $50, to be played at Woodlands within the next 4 weeks. Jack decides to accept the challenge, noting that "I'm not really a prick (just a little misunderstood) but I'll teach you a lesson anyway, and lets make the bet $100"

All matches are of course to be played within the spirit of the game.

Let the warfare begin!

Jack

Excellent work Jack, I look forward to lining up a potential candidate.

I'm in Melbourne on the weekend of Saturday May 26th and open to any offers, especially early in the morning so as to give me time to get to the Dome to watch Carlton vs Adelaide starting @ 2:10pm wink.gif

Tithers, I challenge you to a duel...full tote odds of $50.

I am prepared to double my donation if my name is read on TV.

Reason...I want a proper course review of Southern posted on ISG

But we have to play in about a month as the greens have just been cored

Shall we dance?

Mr D

I only post here when the other site gets quiet...

I also challenge Jack

Reason...I've never played at Commonwealth and would like a crack at it

$50 on this too

I only post here when the other site gets quiet...

the challenger hosts mate.

Worth a try?

Looking to try and hustle some money Jack ? tongue.gif

Mr D , I couldn't help but notice according to your golflink you have only played 24 comp rounds in 1 year.

I hope your getting more than 2 games a month, because that equates to $70-$80 per round at Southern blink.gif

Lucky Sven is in Perth, or his appointment book would soon be pretty full!

Now you've got me thinking...

Maybe I could meet him half way in Bunbury where I have my country membership. However, considering his hectic travel schedule it may be easier for someone in ACT to challenge him. Or is it Melbourne? Sydney?

Have to wait for him to get some new irons though, they might last for a couple of weeks before he cant resist selling them for a profit.

Just need to get my post count up to 250...

mmm..

We might have to adopt a few of Zorba's tactics to get around that one...

What do you

mean?

Zorba liked to get his post count up with hundreds of meaningless contributions.

Hasn't been heard from for a while.

Edit.

Nice one Adlo...

I was a bit slow

there!

Any chance we can make this one sticky?
There will sure to be many more posts to come.

Cant challenge anyone -

no AGU handicap
not enough posts

I also challenge Jack

You really are a fu*kwit aren't you Dennis.

I'm issuing a challenge.

Name: troyfunz

Reason: To see who really is the worse 9 marker of the two of us

Stake: $25 (I know funz is loaded and will double it, a full hundred is a bit rich for me at the moment).

Venue: My home track (which is funzy's old one), but I'm sure funz won't stoop back to that level and will either want a top tier pay-for-play track or his new home track.

Timeframe: The next time I'm back out to 9 (I'm currently on 8.4).

Challenge issued!

Why did I know this one was coming. rolleyes.gif

Happy with the stake (don't want to take too much money off you!).
As for the venue not sure about the old stomping ground, not sure I want to actually pay green fees there!
But I am sure we can come to some arrangement on the venue.

Challenge Accepted.
