Prolly has been thought of before,has there ever been consideration given to splitting states into districts ,its hard for some people in different areas to get to isg days purely because time ,distances,and fuel costs etc.
At least the remote guys can still get to meet other ISGers for games.Maybe we could have district versus district once a year…......forum pennants….whatever,dont shoot too many bullets at me as Im a very shy person and easily upset,Keeping in mind that the ISG days here still remain the same format for those who can get around to them…

I have actaully been thinking about a day in Ballarat, or surrounding area….

Some of the ideas are as follows;

Sand Scrape Challenge…... lets see how you guys handle the approach shots and putting on sand scrapes.

80’s Club Challenge….. You can only use clubs that were manufactured before the year 1990 (no exceptions). Woods must only be made of wood (ie. no retro Taylor Made metal woods for example). You must make an effort to wear at least some 80’s clothing. Hotfuzz can just bring his standard set!!!!!

Hickory Challenge….self explanatory…only use hickory shafted clubs….not sure about the balls.

Any thoughts?????

I guess if people are coming up to Ballarat, it might be a bit far for a “novelty”, although it would have my vote. Maybe novelty team events like “worst ball” stableford or Shambrose (take worst ball as nominated by other team in group).

I’d like a 1-club challenge or “1 club and putter”.

Either way mate… set it up, set the date and call in the crowds…

Another suggestion

How about we expand the match play concept to a team event.
you pick your partner
play best score handicap match play.

same format NSEW areas.

Might be a little harder to co ordinate partners and games but sure it could be done.

At least guys who got eliminated in first round (ie me) can get some more match play practice in.

can I add…cut it to 3 man ambrose and team must consist of 1 X A grade, 1 X B grade 1 X C grade

StinkyKunti is not adverse to making the 3 club challenge a group event, 4 man drawn on the day sounds fine.

Same rules as before, no putter.

Would be nice to have individual and team scores, so do it like stableford, best score on hole counts for team.

Still be nice to have an individual winner to have champion 3 clubber.
