Bugger, I was hoping it was going to be a team’s event (given our undefeated status) Oh well, it will be good fun no doubt …..... and now I can sledge my playing partners, guilt free.

Speaking to old mate in the pro shop the other night when picking up the ‘new’ driver. Apparently the 27 holers will be off the 10th… play a 9 hole comp, before coming through and playing in the 18 hole comp (which will be handicapped I believe. When I mentioned Frank’s grouping with us, we figured he’d just play his 18 holes, with a 10th start… no biggie… I doubt it will be a shotty… so a starting time would be nice… Next week I believe.

Nope… going to have a hit at a corporate ambrose tomorrow, and then a stableford with TIgerland on Saturday it will also get a run at. If I don’t get a good feel, it’ll be swapped back before The Open…

Just like to keep everyone on their toes… It’s a round and a half of golf… with a sanga and sauce… for a lobster. We’re not trying to solve conflict in the Gaza Strip.

late breaking news John Noel william “Sammy” newman .... maybe street talk at baccus marsh golf club as well as former St kilda, north melbourne and fitroy player and former coach of the St kilda football club Grant Thomas both will be playing on the day Also I believe on the day and is member of Baccus marsh golf club and i have actually had a couple of games with this member and is highly regard in the comedy scene Gaberiel Rossi so little did we know 2 former afl players and a comedian cheers

So are you saying that the 9 holes is BEFORE the 18. I was hoping to get away early after the 18 but if they are playing the 9 before the 18 it looks like a late finish….....and I may as well play the 27….as I wont get home any earlier. :-( Looks like it might be a rushed finish…...I would appreciate any update of information if you guys get it, Smergs/Oz.

i’ll ask the question tommorow, i am pretty certain they will allow you to do the straight up 18 holes…. as how i see it they wouldnt send your group out as a 3 and then have ya 4th join at the completion of the 9 hole round…. my way of thinking is if ya only doing the 18 holes then where ever your group is starting then you will finish either on hole 18 or hole 9 but will ask the question to be sure so that ya not stuffed around mate

Nah Frank I think you misunderstood my post… From what Ol’ Mate told me in the pro shop: 1) The 27 hole guys tee off the 10th and play a 9 hole comp. When I explained that we had an “18” with our “27” group, he said that was no problem as you’ll simply play 18, teeing off the 10th tee. When we round the 9th hole, you’re done, and we’ll keep on playing. Make sense? There is essentially two comps I think: 1) 18 hole comp I think… that’s what I made of the conversation. Oz will sort it out though mate… he’s practically on the Committee out there now… :)
