Someone asked earlier for all the trash talk on lost balls, etc. I started on the first. Drive up the middle with a bit of a tail to the right. Ball went into a depression between two hills off the right side of the fairway. Found two balls, but not mine. Wipe hole 1. Hole 2. Nice little par 3. Nine iron should do the trick. Somehow pushed the shot to the right into the water. Buggar! Wipe. Wiped the 6th with another lost ball. You’d think I’d be able to hit the par3’s without a problem, but no. Wiped the 15th without losing a ball. I don’t get a shot there and 6 is one too many. Lost another ball on the right hand side of 16 – couldn’t find it in the rough beside the fairway. It took me to the back nine to start hitting straight drives. Only three 3-pointers for the day, including the last 2 holes.

Had a great day at my first OOM. Thanks to everyone who helped organise the day, and my playing partners golftime, Bucks and Yougottahitit, had a lot of fun on the way round. Golftime, apart from the few shanks, came back with a great short game, had a good back 9, and was lots of fun to play with, thanks mate. I Thought Bucks was in with a great chance after 9, 22 points and playing fantastic! Wiped one hole on the back, and hit water on the 16th and still got 2 points! Came in with 39 for runner-up in C grade. Yougottahitit is gonna be a big chance for LD when he sorts the driver out, was hitting the 4i a mile! Played some great shots, and would have won NTP if he’d been in B grade (forget what hole that was). My game wasn’t quite there on the day, driving was ok and short game was great, but the irons were crap! Can’t make Heidelberg but will be at the next one, looking forward to another fun day, cheers.

That putter is a little, well, like Rob, bent. My new one is more suited to me, straight. :)

Is there another option? I actually can’t remember the details at all, guess severe trauma can be blocked out by the mind.
