Yep, played the Henley course last Tuesday, CB. Playing the St. Johns course on 5th March (and playing BGH in our matchplay at the same time) Henley is an interesting course but the first tee is about 1 km from the clubhouse. Some guys decided to use carts for this reason but I walked it…......my GPS said my buggy had travelled 10.6 ks when I finished. As a result I think my game dropped away on the back 9 due to fatigue. I must clarify this, I did have my name on the Marker – but this was not actually my shot, and Acca can 2nd this. I hit mine well over the bunker by 80m and thought it was in play so picked marker up signed it and was walking to the ball when saw that it was meter of the short stuff. So returned Marker back down the fairway. So yes Smergen is right the fact that it has to be on the fairway is my downfall. But Mick yours LD was well deserved. Host of the slog.
