Once golden one has done the draw we will put up here and send to you all by email the match play index used for handicap shots.

NOTE It is not on all score cards and it is different from Stfd index.
Note also the index is standard across all courses. For those new to match play you play off stick stroke round (not stfd) using the difference between handicaps. for example if i was playing Golden one off 23 there is 13 shots different, so he would receive shots on 13 holes designated on match play index. This is regardless of how difficult the hole might be.
for example at Yarrambat Goldy normally get 2 shots on first hole (stfd rating 5) and I get 1 shot. . In match play this is rated 18 so both play as is off stick .If we both have a 4, 5 or 6 we halve hole.. VTPP 0482 A grade winner Sunshine OOM#4 2012 Winning team in Beaconhills Invitational Classic 2012

I guess, like last time, I really don’t want to stuff people around and limit options too much.

Last year’s matchplay was probably a little more rushed (in the end) than needed, as initially there were thoughts to run another one later in the year. With perhaps only one extra round, I imagine the “timetable” could be relaxed to spread the entire comp out for more of the year. This would hopefully allow more flexibility, and encourage more competitors (such as Smergs) and get the full compliment of 64. Perhaps this should be in the Round Table thread!
