6th of Jan looks like a big day for match-play. That’s the 4th match I think that day.

2012 ISG VIC OOM #2 Hidden Valley Winner

not sure if on Peptides

ok bully and myself have agreed to play our match on sunday the 6th of Janruary at Eynesbury on the the 11th hour…

there is 2 spots available still if anyone wants to take the other 2 spots

let the battle begin

That’s the type of course I’ve got to avoid playing a low marker like Peaksy on. I would get slaughtered.

…..

24 shots and you want to play on a pitch and putt?

No not all.
We haven’t even discussed it.

I love Eynesbury, but it does cut me up.
Although it has similar winds to Sunshine the approach shots are generally a club or 2 longer.

I’ll email you.

…..

You will get slaughtered anyway, you might as well play somewhere you like…...

24 shots? Sweet Lord!!!

fark i laughed bernie
you know it should be illegal

That reminds me, yes or no to playing the comp of the day in conjunction with the matchplay match?

If I could have any professional golfer’s name and any professional golfer’s hair, I would have Robert Rock’s name and Robert Rock’s hair.

No.

BGH
the handicap match play index is different to the stfd index so have to play differently. Rules and penalties are different as well.

also if stfd might be out on hole ie with a 6 on par 4 but still win the hole in match play if opponent has a 7.

I think CB just explained it all…..sorry….didn’t mean to sound bossy.

Although the “No” was probably a little abrupt….

Yeah I just thought I would check the rules for this comp. As long as you putt everything out and write down your stoke score for every hole it’s not that hard to accumulate a valid s’ford card.

But we will just not go in the comp for the day if that is preferable, no biggie.

Again not true BGH
what if you are 0.5m away and I say, give you that, and you putt out and miss, what do you write down stfd or if I give you putt and pick ball up and give it back to you, thus putting you out on that hole in stfd.

in match play if want to give opponent the putt, pick it up and hand it back to him.

However you can and should write down scores for you and opponent have on the score card as well as plus minus or half for holes.
.If have a caddie get him to do this.
in heat of battle late in round have something to refer back to if a dispute arrises.

Obviously when putting in a card when playing matchplay in tandem it requires agreement before the round to not have any gimmes and to putt everything out. Might take a slight bit of the tactics/spirit out of the matchplay match but it’s not that big a deal.

Although there are some differences in rules between the formats the majority of the time they wont come into play (as long as you agree to putt out everything).

It’s a moot point anyway, I have no problems with not entering the comp of the day and playing straight-up matchplay. That way koiom can give me all the tricky little 3-footers all day long right koiom???

If I could have any professional golfer’s name and any professional golfer’s hair, I would have Robert Rock’s name and Robert Rock’s hair.

HOWEVER
rule 33 on page 112 of rule book says quote
“Certain specific rules governing stroke play are so substantially different from those governing match play that combining the two forms of play is not practicable and not permitted.

The result of matches played in these circumstances is null and void and in stroke play competition the competitors are disqualified”.

dont forget to use the Match play index and not stfd index.

good Luck in your match Koiom is a tough competitor.

it requires agreement before the round to not have any gimmes and to putt everything out.

good luck with that agreement against a veteran matchplayer
you wont get it from me,
it’s part of the tactics,
eg
if i give you 3 gimmies on the first 3 holes,
& your 1st putt is on the 4th hole for a half,
now throw in it’s 5 foot downhill
how will you know the speed?
you havent had a putt yet…

any one else heading home to get married??
