Driver down the right hand side, in the rough, but a good enough lie for a 2iron

Behind some tree’s, hmmmmmmm, what to do, I know, I’ll smash it through that ten foot gap between them

Sweet hit, ten foot away,

Best putt I hit all day, right edge, never looked like missing,

Centre cup,

Bump, what should I say,

What a very fine day.

A little p!ssed now….so typing could be an issue.

Little Smasher….44 points…..oh wow.

LordG…..oh…..my god.

Me….27, 4 wipes, and a truckload of Coronas.

Great to catch up with everyone, thanks to Madam for the lift down to BB, and to Yarn, LordG and Sandy for the day.

Just about bedtime now.

A great day had by all. Great setting, great crowd, great course, great company, nice dinner, average golf by me.

Just arrived home after a 2.5 hour drive home where I chewed Sandy’s ear off. He stayed awake, but only just.

Byron Bay greens – crazy fast, beautiful course tho.

Great to meet some folks that I hadn’t before in Goldy, Peaksy, Madam, Headpro, Lord G.

Top stuff all … if only every day was this grand.

I’m back…awake and sober now.

A very amusing day was had….I knew it was going to be a cracker when I got a text from Nick around 8.30am-ish…...he was getting a little excited :-)

Yarnie….you are a machine. Drop ball on tee…SMACK….love your pre-shot routine. Legend. Half of Team Golrn. We rock. You know it. They know it.

And yes….7 is INDEED half of 14.

Sandy….what can I say…the pink head-covers…..oh….wow.

Other that Mrs Waff’s umbrella, possibly the gayest things I’ve seen on a golf course. And I play a fair bit with Stink, so that’s saying something. Enjoyed the day with you, buddy.

And OH MY LORD…..man, you had a day on the course that I’m sure you’d care to forget….but you never totally cracked it, as I suspect you had every right to do….and then produced your drive of the day…..on 18. Nice hat, btw.

It was great to see some of the guys from the National weekend, like lefty & nath, and of course Madam and Headpro, and to meet some guys I hadn’t met like Piggy, Back9, DW and the great Dazza. And JB and Nicky boy….freakin’ legends.

A few of the Vic crew in attendance as well….GoBallGo and Peaksy….he actually says less when he’s p!ssed. A note for future events.

And Waff…..you are so punching above your weight…..and I hope Mrs Waff is feeling better today.

Cheers Goldy, it was touch and go there for a while, had to keep touching her and going back to the Presentation. She had nowhere near enough fluids to walk the course, and was pretty crook out the back there for a while, almost called the ambos. Not that she’ll see this but huge thanks to Kayla, the bar lady for the ice and the towels, and to Fitzy, (Goballgo) for fetching me from the course, cheers man.
Great track, wicked greens, great to play with Lachy the winner and the SEQ guys, great fun as always. To our guests, Goldy, Peaksy, Goballgo, Lefty, HP and Madam, thanks for coming, hope you enjoyed the day. She did manage to drive home and has gone to work this morning, quite the trooper, until next time gentlemen…....

Thanks everyone for the day- a special thanks to my partners for the day- LefyPullRight, Nat, and Dazz. Very enjoyable afternoon, not the best course to “get back into playing” on, as the greens were very tricky.

Id love to get back there again in a few months and have another go at it.

Congrats to Lil Smasher! well done and great to have him and Waffles missus out with us for the day. A shame she got the heatstroke- It sounds like she is alright now and back to work already.

Highlight of day- Nat making Eagle on 15th! He perfectly called his second shot which was behind trees in rough and he had to play a decent hook to make it to green. then he sinks the putt!

Ive played in two ISG events and thus far our group has had one eagle in each. Bump at Palm Meadows and now Nat. So Im sure you all will want to play in my group next time for your chance at glory;) Kawww Kaww

Good course for sure, those greens were pretty hard to hit, didn’t hit the ball half bad and only hit 5 of them. Up and down 11 out of 13 times, not bad for a club pro.

Yes, I did tee off hole #1 with a pink ball, its takes a real man to pull that off and several of you owe me a beer and I intend to collect next time.

Yarn, great playing with you, nice consistent ball flight mate, fun to watch.

Waff, make sure the wife gets enough water and bring her along next time, nice gal and we could use a few more females, did I say that.

Looking forward to next time.

Lord G had a consistent ball flight also. Along the ground and to the left :-)

Flight…..like a chicken.

I’m sure it got off the ground at some point, but I don’t know that you could say it earned it wings.
