Not sure where anybody is up to with booking accommodation but i will throw this one out there for discussion.

I have stayed in the Trueman cottages on 2 occassions and found them excellent. There are 2 houses next to each other and a third across the road which could potentially accommodate about15-18 people if we wished or they can be booked separately. The two next to each other have a gate adjoining the back yards and a super outdoor BBQ area. I have been there with golf groups and it is a perfect scenario for good socialising

a brief perusal shows that they look available and the price would be about 1200 for a week – so work that back to the required number of nights and divide by the number of people and it is pretty cheap

I am looking at making a 2 week jaunt of it with perhaps 4-6 other games of golf around the area. The joys of being retired I guess

so is anyone interested in a share accom, and is anyone interested also in extending their stay ( possibly before the ISG dates) to play some other courses. I have a bucket list to tick off so I will be a a bit particular about which courses they are

I intend driving down from NSW north coast so I will have a car.

For those interested, I am going to go down Saturday Morning, and fly back Wednesday Morning, or Tuesday night. Anyone else know what they are doing?

Might try get a crew together if we can. Looks like the drive down and back is dead in the water at the moment.

Well … the Minister for Finance and Entertainment has confirmed my participation at this fine event, so before she changes her mind … I said, “Dear, my state needs me!”

I have now purchased my 2 day event ticket and am currently working on airfares

Gonna be a big waste of money if she changes her mind … haha, thats not happening !

so there … no children, 5 days, 4 games of golf, sweet courses … did I mention no children for 5 days … I’m so keen I’m actually reading through all these pages of discussion now

No a Honda…...but my bag and buggy are in the boot…....4 passengers in the car doesn’t leave much room for your golf bag and clothes bag…...let alone ours.
