Sorry, I won’t play the Vintage. Newcastle I thoroughly enjoyed, very challenging. I just found Vintage to be too tough for me at the time. I thought it had been designed as a low marker’s course, said after I had played it the last time (second time I had played it) that I wouldn’t play it again.

Gee guys, i know I’m a regular no show and will likely miss this too, but I can’t see how you would pass the chance to play Newcastle.

It is a classic old course, that still stacks well up today against many.

I would have you all at my golf country club to play golf.But I wish to say a memeber there for a few more years.
Waratah nice easy walk and 4 star overnight accommodation at Club Macquaire next door to the golf club.
But I think we should have a hit at Stonebridge GC .Sounds like a good price for a hit .Plenty of cheap over night accomation in Cesscnock for those who need it..Not far off the the F3 for those travelling from Sydney in one day.
Also a mate of mine who may be be a bit one eyed thinks it is a great course.
So DONNY stop going out in the boat fishing . Get off your arse and book a day soon for off a 0900 hrs tee off .
I would be more than happy to get this day going. But due to playing bowls in a couple of huge invitational bowls tournaments . Around this tme I am unable to help out.But you could ask TWAPS to help you as he seems to have a few ideas.

I think everyone would love to play Newcastle Schmucky, but it’s just that all of March is out, which leaves Feb. April is propbably too late as it starts to impinge on the timing of other events for the rest of the CCSSC venture. I guess it just comes down to play Newcastle in Feb or somewhere else in March.

Happy to leave it to the Newcastle guys that know the region to organise. If I can be there I will be.

All good Commish, as I said I would probably miss it anyway (current work makes weekday time off difficult). Plus, you will also notice my recent trip to Stockton produced a less than grand score.

I’d be more than happy with that around Newcastle. Also appears that your handicap is heading in the right direction, Can we expect a thrust at the single figures???

My vote is for a Feb game, for purely selfish reasons….....

I’m only one round away from reaching my ‘anchor’ handicap, and I’d like to play at Newcastle with this handicap so I’ve got a good chance of winning!!

Don’t wana wait much longer in case I get some form back and end up lowering the hc so I can’t win again!!

righto,sorry guys for late replies but ive been fishing up off port stephens and caught to many fish and to much sun yesterday

so i was sleeping it off today and lazying about jimmys beach.
anyway back home now.

its about 50mins north of newcastle on port stephens,it could easily be made a long weekend for the syd and sth coast guys to stay in caravan park or elsewhere and even bring a boat up :)
