Hello people

After 4 years out of the game due to two serious spine injuries i am finally ready to have my first round of golf. I previously played off 5 handicap in my glory days so i should be able to at least hit 80 something lol.. I don’t even have clubs yet but hope to buy a set within a week or two and i am really keen to get serious and back to some good golf.

I don’t have any golfing buddies in the Brisbane/Gold coast area so if any of you guys need a pard/spot filler or just wanna hook up somewhere for a game ill be more than happy to hack with ya..

Only problem is that i don’t do well walking the entire course because of my injuries so ill need to cart it.

OH YEAH! You will also need to hold my colostomy bag while i swing. HAHAHA Only joking there lol

theres hundreds of golf games organised via internet, especially so in SEQ. unfortunately ISG aint the place where that happens

To many people with low social, and probably general, intelligence levels dribbling on about s@#t.

I admit I have strong feelings towards certain things and some threads on that site havn’t been up to par (for me) and as such it’s not a place, forum, that i’d want to be a part of. The attitude of most thinking Australian’s are inline with my thoughts and the sheep over there will eventually be a minority but hey we live in the backwards state, although it’s still the best, so for now you guys will be fine.

I don’t know why anyone wants to rag on another forum, it’s like ragging on a neighbouring golf club.

There are three golf forums I visit (two I post on) that all have their quirks, strengths and weaknesses. They all have different purposes (and differing degrees of commercialisation) and there are faults I can find in all three. But every forum on the internet, golf or not, has posters who “dribble on about s@#t”.

I’ve never been a member of the site marktheblake posts at, but have looked in occasionally and can see nothing but a keen golf community. It may not be the same one Sarg is actually referring to.

It is the one and the same and as I said it’s a personal gripe and just that I wouldn’t fit in as probably they wouldn’t want me.

As a seq golfer I have a look every now and then I just wouldn’t join as I wouldn’t be able to handle some members idiotic and lame posts IE, “i hate people telling me I have to like p@#fters” a post like that doesn’t need to be made for any reason but that is one of many I have read.

They have a whole thread over there calling us a bunch of wankers, were all very precious people, a bunch of morons and that were a good place to go fishing to stir trouble. Not to mention bagging KYC for his prolific posting.

I honestly don’t think there’s any reason to rag on other forums either, there is more good member’s than bad on every forum, and by doing it myself it’s a tad hypocritical but I had just been on the night before and was wanting to vent then he spamed us and I took the bait.

I have heard from a number of sources Burleigh is about the best value for money, however I played Parkland week before last and it was quite nice, fairly long and quite tough. Price isn’t too bad particularly after 1pm it’s $25
