Show up, keep up, shut up.

You should put some pictures of him up on telephone poles and shops windows – someone is bounds to find your lost dog for you. Good luck.

freddy, that won’t help.

Had to put my dog down a long time ago now, its very difficult to get over.

Just picture him chasing cars, burying bones and shagging lady dogs in the great beyond.

Just got a dog about 10 months ago and we love him, so I can understand how you feel mate. My commiserations.

Brown man

We put down our 14 year old sheperd last year.
What an awesome dog.
Used to watch the kids at the park while chewing a stick.
wouldn’t let any one get to close.
All ways brought you a stick/ball/toy when home from work.
our Toddlers pulled his ears, tongue and tail.
put fingers in his mouth and up his nose, no drama
could destroy a black kong in a day
went to work and left the back door open so he could come and go.
Good luck if you jumped the fence.
He would bring back golf balls for me when chipping.
He got deaf & blind and then wobbley.
Wobbley bob we started calling him.
One morning he couldn’t get up to eat his brekky.
and he always had brekky.
Had to get the green dream.
A very very sad day in our house.
Gave it a good break and got another bloke from lost dogs home.
feel your pain brother.

So sorry for you,had my old mate Rotty for 9 years, looked after my daughter and the house protectively but would always let friends in,like Kiwi I would chip balls at him and he would make a nest of about 10 balls then move so I would have different lengths to chip to.Miss him and now his wife is 8 and his son and daughter are 7 so won’t be long before more sadness but the joy they bring outweighs that.Once again condolences

You don't hit anything on your back swing so why rush it!!!!

Sincere commiserations Brownman – Jett will be with you – My boy Tag was put down recently and it was no different to me than losing any other loved one – he was a lovely Shepherd and knew my thoughts! I miss him!

Give yourself to settle Borwn, then honour his memory by becoming dad to another dog like him.

Commiserations brownman. I know exactly how you feel.

I had a terrible weekend last week, my little one year old kelpie, dingo cross was hit by a car. She had terrible injuries and was lucky to survive. Unfortunately, she has lost a back leg. One week on and she is getting around almost as normal. It just hurts to see her not quite as perfect as she used to be. Fortunately, she is still the same cheeky dog with loads of character. I am just glad we still have her.

As far as I'm concerned, too much golf is just barely enough!

Thanks to all you guys ,it has made me feel a lot better,I know he,s just a dog to some, but to me he was a mate.My 5 yr old g/daughter drew a picture of him. Thanks again to all

aw, what you said about your grand-daughter reminded me of what my niece did after Whiskey died. :-(

She wrote the most touching wee epitaph of her own for him.

I have it somewhere but basically it said:

“You were my best friend and the only one who really listened”

Getting teary now :-(

It maybe just a dog to some, but they simply do not understand….its a terrible thing to go through and I sincerely feel for you and your family. We’ve got two young dogs and two cats of 19 that I flew out from the UK when I moved here and I’m dreading the day they go!

If its any consolation, there are so many homeless dogs out there who would just love to have an owner as caring as you…..once you have got over the loss, go look at all those needy faces and bring them some happiness…

reminds me of a great story of an old workmate of mine.

He was patrolling the highway in northern NSW and pulled over a bloke for speeding. The bloke told him that he had a lot on his mind and that he had just broken up with his wife and was heading to queensland to start life anew. Further conversation revealed that this was the 4th time this boke had been married and broken up, losing a house on each occassion.

My mate said to him “Listen here. I’ll let you off with a warning as long as you promise me one thing. This fine would have been $380. When you get to where your going, take that money you’ve saved and for christs sakes buy yourself a dog!!!!”

All this talk of our mates and losing them has prompted me to show off my mate Tag – he was put down recently – this pic is Tag the dad and his daughter Tory.

Such is Life

Good call and smart cop – they are loyal and much more, aren’t they! A man and his dog… can’t beat it!

Reminds me of a recent joke making the rounds – lock your missus and your dog in the boot of the car and open it after an hour – guess who’ll be happy to see you…lol

It is all very sad, but my god animals bring you such happiness dont they?

I could not imagine life without some pets…Ive had them all my life and to be honest, if someone says they dont like animals I’m always a bit wary of them! Great pic Ditty!

yeah, but the penguins you have for lunch don’t count as “pets” Walrus. They are food!!!

Was waiting for the comment…lol

When I kicked the motor over, Tag would bark and carry on and stand in front to stop it taking me away… but if I wasn’t around no one could get near the bike.. didn’t need a lock down at night for it then but I do now…!

Brownman – you have my deepest sympathy, my old bloke “Bomber” got pancreatitis about this time last year – he was 14 when he died and no matter how long ago it is you will never get him out of your mind – think good things & good times – Jett will find him and by the sound of him if he’s as good a dog as mine they’ll be mates forever

Golf balls are like eggs - they're white, sold by the dozen & you need to buy fresh ones every week!
