Have to agree mate – bloody doc took what honour I had left away last week…lol we have same problem re IT – few guys been caught and sacked (porn) and places like this and all external emails have been blocked…we have ways around it although they be temporary we think…lol.. retirement is looking good!

No, because by default things are off therefor it has to be turned ON then OFF, hence the term ON and OFF. not OFF and on !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My problem? People that don’t know the difference between there, their and they’re. And who can forget the ever-annoying its/it’s confusion.

The same goes for the US’s bastardisation of the english language.

• Dropping of the letter u (color? flavor?)


• What the hell is ‘aluminum’? It’s aluminium!


• Swapping the letter ’s’ for a ‘z’ (it’s standardise, not standardize)


• Oh, and that letter – Z – is a ‘zed’, not a ‘zee’.

And for those Americans sitting there thinking, “Bah, I could care less”, it’s “I couldn’t care less”! By saying ‘could’, the whole point of the phrase is lost.

So in summary, my problem is an annoying habit of correcting poor spelling and grammar.
