I've been doing some thinking lately

Hollywood and movie producers in general know jackshyt about sniping and snipers. The last could action movies I’ve watched, the sniper is sitting with his rifle handing out an open window and freehanded shooting about. A good sniper would open the window just far enough to get a shot off, stand back in the room, and put a see-thru cloth over the entire window to disguise where they really are. They would also use a bi-pod or tripod to stablize the rifle and adjust the rifle scope accordingly, not just pull it out of the case and shoot. End rant.

I was just thinking the same thing.
Reverse every natural instinct you have and do just the opposite of what you are inclined to do and you will probably come very close to having a perfect golf swing. - BEN HOGAN, POWER GOLF |

John Allen Muhammad thought along those lines too

mouth and remove all doubt |

Sniping is really good on ebay…..

Yea but I still love sniper based movies. Anyone ever seen enemy at the gates? Absolute corker!

Enemy at the Gates is a war movie, it is a exception. I’m soooooo relieved to see others think the same as me.

Funny how we keep returning to the same subject matter. Hey Racinfarmer!!!
A bad day on the golf course is better than no golf at all.

I used to think it was a good movie, but I watched it again recently and changed my mind. Anyone who’s into gaming might enjoy using the sniper rifle in FarCry. Oldish game, but one of the best for multiplayer jungle warfare.

Yet another epistle to Bullshit !

Went and shot about 45 rounds out of the .308 this evening. I can hit a Mountain Dew can at 800 yards! Wife didn’t shoot too bad neither.

Now there,s an intresting sport for a grown man. Shooting at drink cans. I suppose it,s better than shooting at something thats alive.

He’s just biding his time and polishing his skills for the inevitable attack of the cans!

You should see what a .308 round does to a rabbit. I’ll take a pic next time, but I think it would be removed pretty quick.

Hey, when rabbits are eating your wife’s raspberry bushes, you’ll think “Damn, I wish I had a rifle right now.”

Can,t have WILD animals messing up our gardens , can we? They have no right to affect our lives that way.

I saw what a .50 cal does to prairie dogs….but I just get to much guilt killing animals these days. Gone soft.

Sorry I asked. Not my idea of sport I,m afraid. In most sports your opponant has some sort of chance. Graphic is definately the correct description. Would not mind if it was cochroaches next wednesday night however. QUEENSLANDER!!!

Not my idea of sport either mate but does show the awesome power of these weapons. Don’t worry we’ll have plenty of firepower wednesday night. If racinfarmer posted some contact details I would send it to him.

HE would appreciate that I should think.

I seen an episode of mythbusters one night when they were testing wether you could get shot under water like in the movies and with the .50 cal as long as you got down 2 metres ( i think) you were safe there was only one that got down to the depth but it was a low to mid power gun from, a poor, memory. It’s not a sport if the other team doesn’t want to play :-)
