Hi everyone! For those of you who are in the Brisbane area and might be keen to catch up for a game I have recently moved to Qld from Perth. If anyone is keen to catch up for a round please email me at hispl@hotmail.com I am a member of Royal Perth Golf Club and have an AGU handicap. (Which is going out :P ) Cheers! Adam

Welcome to Qld mate, I can’t help you because I’m still in WA but here is the two biggest tips in the state: 1. If you like football and decide to watch the better code then you cant go wrong with the Broncos, 6 Premierships since they entered the comp in 1988. 2. Do yourself a favour and get caught up in State of Origin mania, even if you don’t like football it is the key to a happy life in Qld. Make that three tips…... 3. Always support The Maroons. and catch up with Nige when he gets back. Reason for Edit: I hate poor spelling.

Thanks for the tips frankyb! I was worried you might say, make sure that you drink Bundy and Cola or Bundy and Dry when you go to the pub… I can’t stand Bundy Rum :P I will catch up with Nige when he gets back, he seems like a top bloke :)

Don’t worry mate I haven’t drank the crap in 20 years or more either. Have a look at ‘Mango Hill’, I never played it but it always looked like a nice course when I used to drive past and ‘Woodford’, about 40k’s west of Caboolture, with rain around it should be in good nick and a top bunch of blokes out there.

Played Woodford when it was really dry , should be good after the rain. Mango hill I think is Northlakes Golf Course. Something special as long as your game is on.Caboolture always impressed me, played it several times. always wanted to give Redcliffe a go too. plenty of good courses in that area & 1 or 2 top class ones.

Played Pacific Harbour on friday Course looks sensational but boy , are those greens tough (FAST) . Well worth a vtsit though . then played Club Pelican today, played the back nine first. walked onto the 10th tee & thought ” this looks terrific” & it was. this is a very attractive course with wide faiirways lots of bunkers, plenty of trees , unforgiving rough & large greens ( mostly) well worth the money for anybody travelling to Brisbane,or resident there.
