Golf In St Andrews Scotland

Hi Everyone, I live in St Andrews, Scotland and play all my golf on the Links, which includes The Old Course, and as a result, meet many international golfers who just love playing our famous courses. I thought that there must be many, many more who would love to visit and play, so I would just like to say that if you want an affordable holiday with golf I would be able to help. I have private accommodation which would suit most tastes, both are on a self catering basis. If anyone is interested pls let me know. Keep swinging with soft hands.

if you had of posted this 2 years ago i could have taken up the offer, i was there in july last year and stayed at west park house which was a 5 minute walk to the 1st tee on the old course. loved every minute of st andrews & scotland, it is surely the best place to play golf, i loved links golf & we got so lucky with the weather only got wet on 4 holes the whole time we were there but is see it is not that good thisyear, we got lucky. what made scotland so great was we had been in england before we flew up and it is so dirty & scotland was spotless, the only litter we saw was in st andrews but it was a garbage bag that been attacked by those huge seagulls you have there, are they on steriods? also you cant park your car to long there if you dont want covered in bird droppings, lucky it was a rental. anyway hoping to come back in 2010 for the open so we may be in contact. see ya

I’ll be in europe in late august, and am looking at how easy it would be to get there. I’ll be in Holland, where should I fly to if I was going to play?

What is the nearest airport to you with a runway of 2.5km or longer? I am planning on going to Europe soon and might take you up on the offer.

you need to update your corporate jet if you need that length, a G5 should only need about 1800m

Bad conversion math on my part. 1 inch = ~2.54cm 1 mile = ~1.62km. I switched the two.

Sorry for not replying earlier but I’ve been away. The question re. accommodation is really dependant on when and how many in the party. Let me know and if I can help I will.

Racinfarmer If you do have a private plane then Leuchars Military airport might let you land or there is one in Dundee which I have used. For commercial flights Glasgow and Edinburgh are both 90mins away.
