Eskimo Joe Always hard when the word “classic” is used, as bands like Midnight Oil and AC/DC spring to mind. But I’d rather listen to the above 5 bands, so they are my classic 5.

It's the only game in the world where you can call penalty on yourself. It's the greatest game there is.

Maybe more of a modern “classic” but given the powderfinger / eskimo joe / silverchair / little birdy (why?) mentions i would say SFK rate top in that lot – best live aussie act for in the past decade +, powderfinger a very close second. Another more modern one given the miss would be The Living End, personally ahead of eskimo joe / the chair and killing little birdy and katy steeles annoying voice. Couple more moden ones to look out for are The Vasco Era – put on one hell of a live show. Some serious energy coupled with some great dirty bluesy rock. The Mess Hall are also worth a look if they reappear for a second time…
