Is there anyone out there who may advise me,Is there a law in Vic that prohibits leaving children unsupervised in car,The laws vary from state to state I believe,This particular prick has done this on a number of occassions,my daughter went to a police station and asked the question….....reply was….hhmmm ..im not sure,maybe an issue for docs.

I want to put a stop to this,its my grandchildren,anyone heard of “Daniel Morcombe”,i need a result on this soon,before he can get a chance to do it again,maybe a shottie will be my only option. Um,.. puttimg a lol on the end of that

um why wouldnt you call the cops to come and get the kids out straight away?
The law is there to protect the kids and allow police with the power to do what is neccessary to get the kids out.

Seriously though be careful not to blow it out of proportion, at 10 yo kids can get their own drinks and food, operate the tv, understand not to use the stove etc etc. In a safe environ like a flat or house they’d be fine, I’d probably not leave them in a public car park though for any length of time.

Sounds to me like you need to just make sure your dislike for this ‘prick’ doesn’t cloud your judgement of his actions. Just a thought.

Geez, I remember when I was ten years old …........

I was busy holding down two jobs …... as well as getting up at 4am every day in order to go and milk the cows …. so I could have my bowl of breakfast cereal.

It wouldn’t have been so bad, but we didn’t own a farm …. and the nearest cow was a few miles away :-)

......... and as for leaving kids unattended in cars …...

Back when I was a 10 year old, whenever I was left alone in the car, it was cause I was expected to give it a grease and oil change ….... or rotate the bloody tyres.

Sounds as if the cops WEREN’T interested Francie if you read the OP. The cop brushed his daughter off and tried to pass the buck to another dept. I guess his daughter should have said it was left in a masserati- bang, cops would have had the news crews on the line before she left the station to prove they care :(
