Well foxtel has revamped the idea of Prisoner renamed it Wentworth
Also the characters have been given a bit of a revamp as well and not necessarily how you would remember them and also some new charactors with in the show

Wentworth is a 10 part series which is due to start soon on foxtel on the soho channel
i used to as a kid growing up under a father who was a prison warden that didnt allow me to watch prisoner as a kid and the only time i was able to watch it was when my father was on night shift and on school holidays…
however i think its going to be hard for foxtel to remake the series as i still think the old prisoner from cell block h
what old shows would you like to see come back as a remake with the modern day actors and actoresses

Ah, yet another “new” series featuring “the usual suspects”.
A veritable “who’s who” of those actors that have tried and failed in the past, only to then get given yet another chance to display their sadly lacking, acting wares.
Catherine McClements, and Aaron Jeffery .. two more wooden actors it would be hard to find ….... geez, our only hope is that they put it on late at night, so that no-one is coralled into watching these cardboard cutout’s, during prime time.
The only chance this has of actually making it I reckon …........ is if some of the finer looking females flash some flesh.
As for any other old shows being made new again ….... I can’t think of any show that I’d want to sit thru …..... with these calibre of actors in it.
And speaking of which …..... How Shaun Micallef ever got his latest gig acting opposite Roberta (or any gig for that matter) ....... is beyond me
