Car service was due, booked it in a week ago but had to wait the week. Got up at sparrow’s to get down there before opening so I can get near the start of the queue and hence wait less time. Courtesy car doesn’t go as far as my place. After 1½ hrs, clerk finds me and tells me the front tyres are wearing unevenly and recommended tyre rotation, rebalance and front end alignment. You would think that a new car, one year old shouldn’t need an alignment – must have been ‘out’ when I got it. Agree to extra costs anyway. Finally get car back after 2½ hrs. After I get home, email arrives from Holden saying my service is overdue and they’ll throw in a free alignment !!!!! I forwarded it to the dealer who reluctantly agreed to send me a cheque for the alignment costs. Bring on third person Thursday.
